I have just loaded a new table and its sound library does not carry its own unique name.

The file is 'sound.fpl' and it carries only the files required for the one table.... so naturally I can't overwrite my existing 'sound.fpl' or my other tables will be effected.

What's the best way to merge the contents from the new .fpl into the existing .fpl?

Cheers

Rusty.

Can't you just rename it and any reference to that file?

Other way is to use FP Companion tools , drag the library onto the FpGrab.exe (extracts asset to folder) and merge/create a new library.

I looked at just renaming, but it's a little more complicated with correcting the location links.  Will have another look at that and investigating exporting them and then reimporting them from a renamed .fpl

Perhaps even use the Companion Tools to assist in that?  Thanks for the help, I will go check out the tools.

SOLVED:

I renamed the sound library with a unique name for the table. I then used FP's Sound Manager to "link" the new individual sound files and delete all the original links.  It was a bit tedious but it worked.
