Hello!  Had this one in the works for a while.  Time to finally release it into the while.  Feel free to report any bugs/fixes/improvements!

As always, I needed help from lots of folks!  I apologize if I forgot anyone or anything...this build started a while ago.  If I did, please let me know so you can be credited:

Dark - Beautiful model of the Lauren Belle and Paddle Wheel, complete with texture swapping for flasher reflections, and play testing feedback
javier1515 - Skill Ramp scripting and resources, primitive plastics for slings and lanes and play testing feedback
gtxjoe - scripting of Lauren Belle Lock
freneticamnesic - bubble level resources and script and play testing feedback
Zany - Beautiful skill ramp model and play testing feedback - An updated ramp model should be in the works and then the table will be updated
I also used the script for moving the ball from the most recent Hurricane table - unsure who scripted it so please let me know if you know or if it was you.
Also used original Maverick Table as a reference

- Don't forget about the skillshot of plunging the ball past skill shot 3 to have it fall down to the playfield and use the upper right flipper to try and hit the captive ball underneath the Lauren Belle.  That's pretty much the only use of that upper right flipper, as I can't seem to get the ball leaving the upper right orbit in a fashion that you can use the right flipper.

Enjoy

Paulohotline pointed out to me that if you have a plunger on your cab, you need to enable the VP plunger.  I am sorry I forget to do that since I don't have a plunger.  In the editor, in the bottom right hand corner of the table (where the plunger is) right click and select plunger.  Enable the mechanical plunger and change the power setttings.  Paulohotline said 150 worked for him.  Sorry about that.

Also, There have been reports of a sound buffer error.  I have no idea where that is coming from as I have not encountered it.  Hopefully there will be fix for it.  Stay tuned.

error " Couldn't create sound buffer for load "

What I did was open it up in up in 991 change the Script to - Controller.GameName = "mav_401"  and then it worked in PM5

Edizzle - nice to see this one released! Thanks to all involved.

Regarding the sound buffer load issue, since changing the rom fixes the issue, maybe deleting the nvram file for the original rom will fix the issue

Thank you for the credits Edizzle  :)

I think the problem is in the size of the images that are very large. try to reduce the size to 1024x2048 that perhaps solve the problem.

Please, if you can help me with a small contribution to update my work team and continue to make more tables I will be eternally grateful.

I can confirm that isnt the case on my setup... it never gets to the point where is can create nvram file....

I've tried to open it with vp990, vp99i, pm5, and even vp10 all crash before opening in the editor.... I also tried to open it on 3 different machines

I dont think this is true, at least in my case... I run a very very high resolution version of my rat fink table in my machine with no problems at all... (like 8000 pixels high)

I can not open it in any version of VP .... until I moved it into my old (backup) tables folder and then I can open it with VP 9.9.1. The only difference in the folders, that I can think of, is an older set of VBS files. Not sure if this is the trick or not. After opening it I can't change the script and save it again as suggested (it crashes while saving)

AL

Edit:

Further testing (screwing around really) Since it would open in my old folder with VP991, I exported the playfield images, resized them to 1024X2048 and re-imported them. The table would save after that and then subsequently would load up in VPPM5. I still get the sound buffer error but it continues into the editor and can be played. I then went back and changed the script to mav_401 as suggested and saved it. After that, it will load and play with no errors in any folder and VBS set.

For giggles, I changed the script back to mav_402 and saved it. Now it works anywhere with no errors at all........weird

Also, deleting the nvram had no effect for me prior to reducing the textures

Wow!  thanks for going through those tests, and sorry for the trouble.  Damn, I made that rom change last second, as I think I was using an older version of the rom the whole time I was building.  I literally changed it to 402 moments before I submitted. I hope that didn't do something strange.  I guess I should also re-size the images.  I thought I might have ran into that issue when I first started building, but that was like 7-8 months ago.  Also, my laptop sucks so I am surprised it wouldn't throw me an error if it was due to that...though I am probably miss-understanding, and the max textures is not so much a limitation on computer hardware, as it is something else.

Sorry all, I hate to have a release be so buggy!

Found a Issue .... after winning a second hand, the drop targets under the Belle stay down until the ball in play enters the captive ball area and then the drop targets reset and the ball in play is stuck behind. When the table does a ball search the drop targets fall down but the ball does not come out. All this time I can hear ball rolling sounds. Nudging also does not help. I have had this happen 3 times out of 10 games or so played.

Otherwise It is a great looking and realistic playing table. Thanks to all involved for the hard work. This table really needed a overhaul.

No problem. It works fine for me now with mav_402 after getting it to save with the smaller textures. I'm just happy to have the table in my collection and appreciate all the work you and others have done on it. It plays great and looks awesome!

Thanks

AL

Can you re-save and publish the table using the 401 ROM?

I still can't load it even with the posted pm5 ver 5.0.1 or any other version.

Thanks
