File Name: Jet Spin (Gottlieb 1977) FS

File Submitter: loserman76

File Submitted: 15 Apr 2015

File Category: VP 9.x B2S Cabinet Tables (B2S)

Author(s): Loserman76
GNance
Arngrim
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1977
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

'*
'*        Gottlieb's Jet Spin (1977)
'*        Table build/scripted by Loserman!
'*        Artwork redrawn by GNance
'*        DOF by Arngrim
'*
'*  Thanks to the following for their contributions (whether they know it or not!)
'*  If I have missed anyone, let me know as this table would not exist without the
'*  folks in the community.
'*
'*
'*  JPSalas - gameroom backdrop and methods gleaned from his fantastic tables
'*  EalaDubhSidhe - table object templates
'*  Black - HS save/load routines
'*  Itchigo - table templates
'*  CONRAM - various code ideas on his tables
'*  Inkochnito - scorecards/instruction cards
'*  Pinuck - Gottlieb chimes and score motor routines
'*  Herweh - directB2S designer and tools
'*  JimmyFingers - rolling ball and additional sound routines
'*  pbecker - roto code
'*
'*  Of course, the team behind Visual Pinball - without them, there wouldn't be much choice for playing pinball on a PC
'*

The options menu is now available by holding down the left flipper key for about 2 seconds when a game is not in progress. Once opened, left flipper moves between the different menu items and the right flipper goes through that item's available choices.
This table uses Arngrim's new methodology for DOF/B2S configurations. Be sure to have the latest version in your scripts folder if you don't already have one there. If there is an old one in your table folder, delete it.
First run of any table that uses this setup will ask you about DOF and what you have. After that, you are all set.
The backglass is a separate download, so be sure to grab that too

You're doing some awesome work on these old EMs, Loserman. Thanks!

I just played a whole bunch of games on this new table and maybe found a bug. It seems that the ball doesn't want to enter the "center roto target value" hole. It's like the whole isn't big enough to grab the ball.

Edit ---After a whole bunch more games, It finally went into that hole. Still seems like it should be going in more often though

Wow Looserman76, awesome job this table plays as good as it looks and it looks totally gorgeous!

I totally love this table! It's like a shooting gallery with so many things to hit.  The art work is certainly busy, Gottlieb did not skimp on pain on this beauty!

Bob - yeah that kicker was one that I've fiddled with quite a bit but I guess it still needs more tweaking. Thought I had fixed that while I was tweaking the vari-target tension but I guess I didn't save the right setting. ugh! Expect an update to this table in the next few days to address that.
