File Name: MarsTrek_VP99x_VectorSync_FS_B2S

File Submitter: dyopp21

File Submitted: 11 Feb 2015

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): Rosve
dyopp21
Manufacturer: Sega
Year: 1977
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

For my first MOD and first table submission, I have attempted a complete graphical overhaul of an old EM table using only vector graphics for 99% of the playfield and plastics (I wanted to give that process a name, and VectorSync was what I came up with)..

This table was originally created by rosve.  Many thanks to him, as I don't really know how to do the scripting side of things.  The only functionality changes I made were some tweaks to the physics and I replaced the flippers with the VP9 version.

The original table was a B2S table, and I have included the B2s file along with the table.

NO ROM IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TABLE.

You're welcome!  There's always more detail in these playfields than you realize when you first get started.

I do have one question: Why did my upload get tagged as "fake" and "non-working?"  Last time I checked neither of those is true.  It works, and it exists in the real world....

Great job, this was always a fun table Rosve did a fantastic job on it and your redraw really iced this cake! Thanks very much for the  sweet update!

No idea why it got listed as fake and not working, it is certainly real and it works great!

i've been a graphic designer for over 20yrs, and Vectorized graphics are the answer for most tables .... if only we could import them directly into VP... odd you can't since the walls used for plastics/objects are all lines and curves same as vector... if this was possible there would be no worry of quality lose no matter what size... tablet to 50" 4K

Anyway great job on the redraw!!!

Wait some time. It is necessary that a Administrator have to unblock the file and then the download will work.

After you've taken a look at it, let me know if you have any ideas of how to improve the lighting!  I just do artwork.  Don't know how to add lights, etc.

I am getting an error from Line 1 about resetting bumpers.

It appears to be working for some of you but maybe this is why somebody had the initial tag about "Fake" "Not working"???

Any thought on what I may need to do to fix the "Line 1" error.

9.9.1

P.s I did change the name to the data base name of Mars Trek (Sonic)....

I did change the file name to the data base name of

This is a B2S table if you change the name of the table change the backglass or make sure launch backglass in the script is set to false

When I first installed this table, it worked just fine...but now I'm getting the same error that MrBungle is getting. I have not changed anything since I installed it. Very strange

Make sure the name of b2s file hasn't changed for some reason.  I can't imagine it would change on its own, but it never hurts to take a look.  It should  be named just as it is in the table script:

LaunchBackGlass "MarsTrek_FS_B2S"

Wounderful recration of a recreation!!! We love the SONIC EMs. I have two issues with the table, and despite some trials I cannot fix both by my skills. Maybe the community can help.

1. the kicker hole in the horse shoe is kicking the ball out NOT waiting until the bonus is counted down completely. I think the reason is this command line

   Kicker3.TimerInterval=mem(1)*(150+(mem(2)*300)) original

   Kicker3.TimerInterval=mem(1)*(500+(mem(2)*500)) too long

here the time to wait is calculated by the reached bonus points, but I do not understand how to adjust it

... or I continue to find a solution by the iterative way... :bye2:

2. the "Same Player Shoots Again" (ID 36) light never switches off at the backglass. When the game starts initially the light is off. If an extra ball earned, it goes on. the following command line does not seem to work, but I have no idea why

Sub Trigger11_Unhit()
  DOF 134, 2
  InPlunger=0
  If B2SOn Then Controller.B2SSetData 36, 0
End Sub

I hope the community can give support to make this super-nice table perfect

all my regards, Christian.

Hi,

as promised here the working timing for Kicker3

Kicker3.TimerInterval=mem(1)*(400+(mem(2)*300))

with all possible bonus counts the ball is shot in the right moment.

Maybe someone can have a look to my 2nd question?

Thank you, Christian.

Solved it!

in line 386 add:

       Case 1 'New Ball
              SeqTimer.Enabled=0
              InitGame
              Set ball = Kicker1.CreateBall
              BallInPlay=1
              RollTimer.Enabled=1
              Kicker1.Kick 45,14
  DOF 108, 2
If B2SOn Then Controller.B2SSetShootAgain 0
             ' PlaySound "ballrel"

the red highlighted phrase and your BG will work properly.

I found the solution with doing trials on "Cabaret" VPX which has (had) the same issue.
