I have what seems to be a unique problem.... Googling doesn't seem to bring up the answer.

Each time I open the Guns N Roses table (Visual Pinball 9.9) there is no sound. The default sounds of the ball rolling and the plunger etc are all there but no Guns N Roses sounds.

I press F1 to open the VPinMame settings and find that Use Sound is not checked. I check it and press F3 to restart the DMD and the sound starts but when I exit the table and reopen it, no sound again.

If I just open it in VPinMame outside of Virtual Pinball, if I put a check against Use Sound it stays then when I close and reopen but when I open the table... nothing.... it is sending me crazy.. what could be the problem?

BTW This problem only occured when I changed from PinballX fronted to Hyperpin however the problem can be produced without using the front end. I have uninstalled and reinstalled vpinmame but to no avail.

Any Ideas?

What I can recall you should open up the script in visual pinball editor and search for sound=0 and change this to sound=1 instead.

Not sure why this is hard coded! :D

Cheers

Do you use the gnr_300 Rom ?

Maybe this will help: open VP and Table, Scripts .. search the "...Settings.Value(Sound)...", it must be = 1,

mine is at line 69 ...

For the most others; Key 8 - 9 for Volume down/up ...
