File Name: Devils's Dare (Gottlieb 1982) B2S Backglass

File Submitter: mfuegemann

File Submitted: 20 Nov 2014

File Category: dB2S Animated Backglasses

Author(s): mfuegemann
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1982

This is the animated backglass for Devil's Dare by Gottlieb.

My version is based on the pre-production translite. So it is more fantsy than real, but it is looking quite nice with the green imps and the lights are triggered as exact as I was able to reproduce them.
Light 0 for Ball in Play/Match has to be sent directly from the table code (see my FS table).
Have fun and please use the support topic to post any findings and suggestions.

Regards
Michael

I apologize in advance for digging up an old thread, but I'm having trouble getting this to run. The only b2s I have this problem with.

When the table loads, and the b2s loads, I get this .NET framework error and the BG crashes. The vpmame DMD also vanishes at the same time. The table continues to play fine after I close/exit the error.

System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from string "

That's it. Any help would be appreciated, as I like the pin itself but must have the b2s or it just isn't the same...

----- EDIT -----

OK, so I solved this issue myself by cheating around with the script.

Instead of using the "b2s option" at the beginning of the script, I left it at option 1 for vpinmame, and just replaced the setcontroller line with CreateObject ("b2s.server"), and added a .hidden = 1 line after that.

B2S functions as it should now. In case anyone else runs in to this problem, that was my quick & dirty solution.

Hi Lyanheart,

good You found a working solution. Although You are missing the BallInPlay/Match lights.

What You can try is to change line 89:

If cController>2 Then    --->      If cController>3 Then

so that You will not have the DOF calls even with cController set to 3 (B2S).
