Can it be done?... I'd like to have zero scores for the starting high scores so when the kids play they can actually get their name up in the top scores list.
Is there an option to clear the default high scores and initials in DMD games (especially Williams/Stern)...

I think I know something like that. I'll have to take a look...

EDIT: Alright. On Williams tables, you have to go under Adjustments -> H.S.T.D. Adjustments -> Backup Champion etc.
Them are the values that will be used on a score reset. Set them all to zero and run Utilities -> Reset H.S.T.D.
Then all high scores should be zero.
On to STERN! EDITē: Alright, on STERN tables, you open the Service Menu, go to Adjustments -> Stern Adjustments and in there the default settings should be. Then the default scores adjust automatically. I advise deleting the NVRAM before you do that, in case you have a high score in there which might screw with the process.

I am trying to reset table high scores to 0 as well. I was able to make the changes to TOTAN (Williams) and 24 (Stern) within each game's adjustments. The William table saved my changes, but the Stern table did not. I deleted the NVRAM file for each before making the changes.
Any idea what I can do, so after I change the high scores in the Adjustment settings, it saves the changes?
Thanks!

From the service menu you have to tell stern games to reset the scores after you set them. Services menu, UTIL, RESET, the do the GC(grand champion) and HSTD (High score to date).
That should do it.

That worked great, thanks! I'm now having trouble even seeing the high scores inside of the service menu for Data East tables. Data East service menus seem far less intuitive than Stern or Williams.
I'm working on Star Wars Data East and I can save the "Replay" score to achieve, but I don't see anywhere to change the high scores. There is only one way to flip through the service menu (7 button) and I've searched through each menu item several times. I tried "Restore High Score" under Adjustments (step 12, I believe), but this did not set the high scores to 0.
Is there a way to reset the Data East tables to 0, similar to Williams and Stern tables?
Thanks!

Go to adjustment 13 and select yes to expand adjustments. The high scores will start at adjustment 24. make sure after you have set the scores be sure to go back to adjustment 12 and reset the high scores. You can also flip backwards through the menus by hitting 8 one time then using 7 to move down the menu, Hit 8 again and the menu will go up again with 7.

Thanks guys. Resetting high scores one at a time is very time consuming (like everything with this hobby), especially if you have many tables to do. Once done, it's definitely gratifying though.
I'm working my way through my list of tables and so far, it's looking good! My friends will be excited to know they now have a chance to achieve table high scores!

I was able to reset high scores on all DMD tables and some digital, non-DMD tables. One table I'm having trouble resetting is Earthshaker. I followed the manual found on IPDB for this table, but I could only get to a music on/off test and a bunch of beeping noises.
Does anyone know which keyboard buttons to press to reset the high scores for this table?
Thanks.

Try the procedure found here: http://www.vpforums....als&article=116
It shows not only how to reset replay levels but also high scores to date.
