The game had the first dot matrix display (DMD) ever used on a pinball game! It used a "half-height" DMD as compared to the standard DMD used by Williams Mfg.

Toys: Porsche Carrera above the Nitro target.

Thanks TAB! Interesting to see at IPDB that there is a "desert storm" themed pin that's based on Checkpoint. Seems quite odd that at the height of the Gulf War they would make a pinball machine with that theme. Goes into the drawer "useless trivia".... smile.gif

Cool TAB. smile.gif Thanks! I don't care much for the fingers on the cabinet, but they don't need to show up for 16:9 or fullscreen tables, so it's ok.

And the chance of getting that rom will not be good seeing as there is only 1 table made......I'm still hoping we get to see the pinball table that I once saw in a Michael Jordan photobook: http://www.ipdb.org/...earchtype=quick There are 7 units built, so there is a slightly better chance of ever seeing it, or getting the rom. Any trivia on that?
