Hey all,

I have got my Pinball X working great with FP, VP (9.9), VP (9.2) and VP (Pmod5).  Problem is as I move tables around, mainly moving older tables that don't work well with 9.9 I have to move all the sound/images from the media pack.  Is there anyway to have pinball X just look in one set of media folders for any VP media?

Right now I have to have

[Vpinball]  with Backglass image. backglass Video, Playfiled image, Playfield video, etc.

[VP Original] with Backglass image. backglass Video, Playfiled image, Playfield video, etc.

[Pmod5] with Backglass image. backglass Video, Playfiled image, Playfield video, etc.

Yes its possible with a program called symbolic link creator

U have to make a virtual links from you pinballx/media/..... Folder pointing it to your main artwork folder.

I did this for my physicsmod tables so i could take the same artwork without wasting diskspace.

Or just waste the disk space and copy all your media from VP (9.9) to VP (9.2) and VP (Pmod5). That's what I do.

I've noticed though that if I do forget to copy some file over from my Visual Pinball media folder to my Visual Pinball Physics folder that the image will not get displayed by PinballX. Even though I don't have the name matching feature enabled in settings there may be some seeking going on. Might try to just have all your media in VP (Pmod) and see it will be found by PinballX for your other VP systems.

I use symbolic link creator too, it's very quick and easy to set up, I have four versions of vp running with no issues.

I switched to this when I re-installed windows. http://schinagl.priv...lextension.html

Does the same thing but it is integrated into the mouse right click menu so easier to use

In PinballX, I created a new folder "Visual Pinball PM5" in the media folder (with all the subfolders inside) and in the database folder with a Visual Pinball PM5.xml inside.

Then in the setup wizard I added the detais for a new system choosing the new Name/Folder and the same other details as Visual Pinball except the different executable.

Why the game I added in Visual Pinball PM5.xml is not showing up in PinballX?
