Hi all,
 
I'm back with another oldie.
This is the FS conversion of the Bendigo's desktop table, many thanks to him for the original and for the free permission to mod!
Arngrim added the DOF support, thank you for your patience...
 
Code has been tricked a bit, all the graphics are quite new, coming from some pics of the real pinball found on the 'net, and adjusted with Gimp and Paint.net.
Rototarget uses 15 rotating primitives.
Game is self explaining, not difficult, table is loud and cheerful, gives me a lot of fun.
 
At the first play, you'll be requested for the key to use as ball lifter, enter the key you prefer.
After, you can change it pressing 'K' 
 
High score can be hidden/shown pressing 'S' as a toggle switch
 
High score can be reset using 'H'.
 
Zip file contains also the PF/BG images 1920x1080.
Tell me if i forgotten something...

Thanks Fratazzo, really great job!

Table and backglass looks awesome! Game play is really fun and the sounds are first rate. The pop bumpers on my system are a little blurry but the rest of the table is A+.

Would it be possible to use a number key for the ball lifter? I don't have a spare button on my cabinet for a lifter, but Extra Ball is available ("2").

Table support A-Z but it looks like you can modify it to allow to accept other keys.  Try this:

 

Open table script and go to line 1427 and comment out the line by putting ' at the beginning of the line, i.e:

'if LK < "A" or lk > "Z" then msgbox "Invalid key": exit sub

 

And go to line 1775 and change "A" to the number you want to use like "2" and replace the 30 with 3 which is the VP keycode for button "2", i.e.

KeyTab(1,1)="2": KeyTab(1,2) = 3 '    A            =  30

 

If anyone wants to use a different key, here is the VP keycode table:  http://www.armuco.ch...ml/keycodes.txt.   So if you wanted to use "4" it would be 

KeyTab(1,1)="4": KeyTab(1,2) = 5 '    A            =  30

sorry, i'm ever late.

First, thanks for downloading the table, I'm glad you appreciate it!

Thanx jtxjoe for the support, in next tables i'll include the numbers too.

Shadowsclassic, i know, the bumpers aren't the best on my cab too, but all i had under my hands was a pic (found on the 'net, in perspective too) of the whole table, a good pic but very small, was 600x800, and i cut, straightened, stretched, folded in every manner that image...

Something was to go wrong, Murphy and his laws are lurking, but ever watching us!

 

EDIT:

For EM lovers, I'm working now on

- Rocket III by Bally, new from scratch

- World Fair and Ship Mates by Gottlieb, courtesy of Popotte who gave me permission to port them on VP.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. I tried to modify the script last night but I didn't see line 1775 so that's probably why I couldn't get it to work. Appreciate the help!!!

belllissimo, il tuo impegno viene premiato, peccato che io non posso giocarci, perche' purtroppo non ho il cabinet, ma il desktop.....sembra che dalle tue parti stia facendo il diluvio universale, come va? Qui e' un po' scesa la temperatura, ma il tempo e' bello.

Hi stevebev,

 

simply look at the code, line 330-333:

 

    If KeyLetter(keycode) = lifterkey Then
        PlaySound"BallOut"
        Lift.TimerEnabled=True
    End If
 

change the whole line 330 as follows, according with the key you need:

if keycode = 3 then

and it should work without problems, let me know.

 

Here the correspondences for the numeric keys:

 

Key to use                Value of keycode

    0            =  11
    1            =   2
    2            =   3
    3            =   4
    4            =   5
    5            =   6
    6            =   7
    7            =   8
    8            =   9
    9            =  10

Is it possible to change the "k" key to the same as the SILVER table ?

Or can I change it in the script to another letter ?

 

My left flipper is also the letter "k" .....

open the script, change the line 280

 

if KeyCode = 37 then

 

as follows:

 

if KeyCode = 19 then

 

this will enable the R instead of the K.

If you need another key, here   http://www.armuco.ch...ml/keycodes.txt  you find the list of all the keycodes: change the number in line 280 according to your needs

Just wondering, does this table have tilt?  I can tilt and the next ball out will not let me use the flippers, but I get no sound and I can't see the table move or see any effect on the ball.

Hi Shadowsclassic,

yes, table has tilt, can't remember now if there is a sound.

The nudge effect isn't very strong but there is, when playing the ball moves in the right direction according with the shove.

I'll give a try when i'll get home, i'm outside for the weekend...
