PINemHi LeaderBoard is a program that catches the score and specialscores from player 1
The normal score doesn't have to be on the hiscore table of the game, even scores like 1000 can be submitted.
Special scores however can only be submitted if they are over the score of the hiscore table.
Special scores are for instance , 20 loops (back to the future) or 50 martians killed (attack from mars) and so on...
If you wanna go for SPECIAL SCORES the use of a new,clean nvram might be handy as you can get the scores more easy (especially helpful when trying to get a challenge)

If you have a nice score, just don't start a new game but just quit the game, PINemHi LeaderBoard will do the rest.
When quitting a game you don't have to rush , just as long as you don't start a new game the score(s) can be retrieved.

You can make all kind of queries on the database using the pulldown menu's , from the top 10 to the top 100 per table or just your scores on the table.

This is really fun and encouraged me to play, play, play!

Dear DNAdisturber,

 

can you please explain how the 5-minutes challege is working. Even games laster less than 5 minutes are not entered here. To I have to start it differently? Is there a documentation for it?

Hi guys,

 

5 minute mode is not available (yet) in the pinballx plugin.

It can be used when you use the pinemhi leaderboard frontend however.

 

Basically it lets you play a game for 5 minutes only, this to level out the competition a bit....

I like it very much, quick games and fun as you don't know when the time is up

 

If you would like to play it you can use the pinemhi leaderboard frontend , it's a bit more difficult to set up as the pinballx plugin though.

In the thread pinemhi leaderboard there is an update to get 10 tables more and in one of the last posts there is a new games.xml that you can download to use the newest version of tables.

I would prefer to use the Rom name as main sorting criterion and not the table name. There are so many mods around, that it is better to have a higher number of contestants even with slightly different tables. This would also reduce maintenance amount for you and all cab owners. Rims are alway named in a standard way ... Tables not. What do you think about it?

That would be like comparing apples and oranges.
Some tables are very easy and others pretty difficult so it wouldn't be a good comparison.

I myself wouldn't like it too much but if the majority of the players would want that then it's something to reconsider.

That's why i put the in there....easy way to get around it....
But i find it nicer to not know as the tension builds a little more....and man am i wrong at guessing how much time i have left...haha
Most of the time the game ends before the timer runs out anyway....i know i know, i suck at pinball

Yep I know, but still waiting for my Plunger Kit v2 cause it's not fun when playing and flippers flips automatically etc.

 

But when it's installed, I want my name on the golden trophy....again

Hi, I just found this based on PinballX including it by default with 2.85

I seem to have things working per the logs, but quesiton.. Am I supposed to be able to see any scores onscreen in PinballX?  I found info under Information, but was wondering if any scores are supposed to be displayed beyond pressing information on a table?

Hi coreduo0099,

 

I think you are refering to the new pinemhi version that is in the installation package of pinballx.

Pinemhi is already in there for quite some time....however the new version is now in it.

This is for the hiscores outside of playing , in the frontend (pinballx)

The info under information is indeed the place to find them,

 

However there is also the pinemhi leaderboard plugin, this has to be downloaded and activated using the plugin manager of pinballx (newest version on this site, probably soon on pinballx as well).

This allows you to send the hiscores to the website www.pinemhi.com/hiscores.php, to see how you score in comparison to others (normal scores as well as special scores , for instance loops,martians defeated).

They don't have to be scores higher than the hiscores on the table though (except for the special scores)....

 

You can also do challenges...and receive badges for certain achievements, and there is a cup standing. (also for country)

I'm also in the proces of group creation. This will allow 2 to 10 players to only see their scores and cup standings to see who is the best player from this group
