Hello,

i have an annoying Problem:

when i start a FP Table using BAM trough Hyperpin i get the following Errormessage

errormbqa0.jpg

At first, i thought BAM would not run with Hyperpin (at least on my Cab) but after accidently waiting a while, the Table starts

Altough, i find this strange and the Message simply annoys. Is there something that can be done about it?

I have the latest (as of Feb 23, 2014) Version of BAM

Another Problem, i habe in generell is Focus. I'm using FPlaunch1295Wip10. Every second Time or so, when starting a FP Table, it does not focus it. i have to click on the left Mouse Button to do so. Right now i'm in the Building Process of my Cab, so there is a Mouse (and a keyboard), but when it's finished there should be no mouse... Do these Problems go along with each other (i.e. what am i doing wrong?)?

Kind Regards

Romuluz

1. About error message with Hyperpin. I don't get  this error message. My only advice is to add /STAYINRAM as param to my FPLoader. Do do this You nead:

- modify FPLaunch.ahk script: search for string "/play /exit /arcaderender" in script and in this line /STAYINRAM.

- compile script, and again to do this You nead few steps:

     - download installer from: http://ahkscript.org/download/

     - install it

     - right click on script with .ahk extension and select "compile"

Maybe it will help.

Note: Rename "FPloader.exe" it to "Future Pinball.exe".

2. This is another problem which i neve encouter. First, if You run BAM, BAM on load try to grab focus on FP window, so You should not have this problem with BAM. Second advice. In Windows You have 2 monitors, one is "primary". Make sure, that plyfield monitor is "primary" and top/left corrnert have coords (0,0). It means, that second monitor (with backbox) should be on right or under primary monitor.

Anyone?

Those of you who have it running fine, what versions of BAM and Fplaunch are you using?

I will try to reproduce Your problem this weekend. I will not left You alone with it.

Because i did not test pinball x for over half year i will start with last current of pinball x,, oryginal fp from futurepinball.com, bam 1.1-62b, on other addons (no future DMD, ZED)

I work on win7 64bit.

Today i will write report to this thread.

I will do test with hyperpin.

Are You usuing FPLauncher from hyperpin 1.0 or You have updated version.

Did You add /STAYINRAM switch? (it require .ahk script recompilation)?

Finally got it to compile using the correct version of ahk, added STAYINRAM but made no difference.

I did few test and here is what i have found:

There are 2 problems is in FPlauncher 1.295 WIP 10:

1. It incorrectly start FP and detects end of game.

In FPLauncher.ahk is:

	if (saveFPTables = "true") {
		Hotkey, $ScrollLock, SetSaveFPNeeded
		Run, "%emuPath%\%executable%" /open "%tablePath%\%tableName%.fpt" /play /arcaderender,,Min UseErrorLevel
	} else
		Run, "%emuPath%\%executable%" /open "%tablePath%\%tableName%.fpt" /play /Exit /arcaderender,,Min UseErrorLevel

FPlauncher try to add save table feautre and starts FP without "/Exit" (because saveFPTables is set "true"). It creates problem: when user hit ESC key, FP game window is close, but editor is still open (but not visible) and script wait until ALLl FP windows are closed.

This script will work, if user hit "ScrollLock" before ESC key or will exit from table thru FPLauncher menu..

Solution is to add "/Exit" switch in both Run command. It will break "save fp table feature" but exiting from table will work and You will don't have to kill "Future Pinball" process from Process Manager.

Please remember to compile FPLauchner.ahk.

BAM switch "/STAYINRAM" don't change anything.

2. FP error message during load (visible on Romuluz screenshot from first post). This window is in part my error. BAM on load try to set focus for FP window. FPLauncher try to do same thing (and to display own loading window). This message window is only information from system, that commands from BAM are for long time ignored. This window disapper without any more troubles when table loading will be finished.

In next BAM release i will try to solve problem. But right now i have few started things inside BAM and can't build quickly new release.

Thanks for taking the time to help me ravarcade, very much appreciated. I have fixed the first issue by using an ahk keymap to assign my "2" key to the "Esc" key (Exit button) , this allows me to enter the pause/exit menu without causing conflicts with future pinball. As for 2nd issue, thanks for confirming it's something you can fix :) Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk Regarding my "2" key, whatever is set for "exitkey1=" in hyperpin settings.ini, this is what your escape key should be mapped to. I hope that makes sense. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

I have just tried the latest version, the message no longer shows  :dblthumb: but now the bam menu doesn't work, it just flashes now and again  :wimper:

Also, Ravarcade is there any chance of having a black background instead of a white background when a table is loading please, or is this something to do with hyperpin?

Thanks

Error message on load and what is displayed is connected.

Error message appear because Hyperspin/FPLoader blocks commands send by BAM to OS. So to prevent error message i can't order OS to display playfield.

About BAM menu flickering.

Here is workaroung. Download http://ravarcade.pl/files/PostFX.cfg and copy it to BAM/plugins folder.

This error apear again and soon a will try again to remove it.

Hi Ravarcade

The error message is fixed :)
And now the flashing menu problem is fixed :)

Thank you :)

Another problem I have is the physics counter seems to keep increasing on some tables. It can go to 600+ which causes it to become very very slow. On other tables it fluctuates between 30 and 170 and they run fine. What is the cause of this, future pinball or the tables?

Once again, many thanks for fixing my problem :)
