Just in case someone is interested in trying BAM/future pinball in 3d mode  , I thought someone  might find this helpful

I was unable to get a clear IR signal from my TV while sitting at the end of the TV playing pinball initially.

I bought a cheap plastic prism $10 at Sayal electronics and placed it over the IR emitter on the TV and pointed it towards my desired position.

The prism worked perfectly deflecting the IR signal to the end of the TV without signal loss to my active shutter glasses.

BAM in 3d is amazing!

have you tried with VP? How does it compare? I thinks VP in 3D stereo is awesome, but have never tried FP with 3d stereo stuff.

I hadn't used VP in years and I enabled the stereo feature and played with the only 3 settings I could see in VP9 video settings

and I wasn't impressd with VP.

But it wasn't in arcade mode as I couldn't see  the option for this.  Do I have to run another program like vpmame to view VP differently. It was just the standard view with the table superimposed over the backglass stuff.

Future pinball through BAM on the other hand has unlimited 3d settings on the fly

I could recess the table image below th the level of the screen or above screen level .  I could change the table size

to view the rendered game room in 3d at that the same time.  You can change the pitch of table so some of table is above the screen and some below. Very very cool.

yeah but the physics in FP to me just are NOT there.  You should play with the new VP, as its really made a lot of progress recently.  Truely unbelievable in 3D.

downloaded the latest vp but at least from the editor screen under video options in the menu only 3 stereo setttings to check

and no obvious way to jump between modes.  Is there no menu driven way to change to full table arcade view or do you have re-edit each table directly?

Fp has alot of tables with new physics 2.6 and also "zed" physics that are closer to normal physics.

I find it quite realistic and I get used to it.  FP and VP due play differently when I compare but it seems to be just about acclimatizing to one versus the other.

So is it possible for me to get one of these prisms and use it for my 3d vision display to work in portrait mode. I play FX2 and TPA in 3d Vision but display has to be in normal landscape mode for 3d to work.?

what is your 3d vision display?
describe it. Is it a 3d tv?
Is it active shutter or passive?

I discuss this at GoPinball under Bam Corner

the prism I used is called "The Light Crystal"

I recently have found that xpand youniversal glasses are way
better than the samsung once and have much better reception
