APOLLO 13 for VP9.2+
by ICPjuggla and Herweh

Very special thanks to Francisco666 and ROM for allowing us to use playfield and plastics images and models from their FP build.

And very special thanks to Fuzzel for porting models from FP to VP and teaching me how to do this.

This is a 'from scratch' rebuild.

More thanks for and to:
- Plastics image by Cosmic80
- Fading Lamps code, flasher images and a lot inspiration by JPSalas
- Some sound files and saucer code by JimmyFingers
- Ball rolling code by JimmyFingers and/or Rascal
- B2B Collision code by Steely & Pinball Ken and Koadic
- Play testing by Toxie, Fuzzel, TedB, Luvthatapex, Dozer316 and Bolt
and to all we've forgotten to mention.

The table features 'Customizable Options' at the top of the table script. You may select VPinMAME, UVP or B2S, DMD rotation, GI and/or Flashers on/off, Cabinet Sounds or Ball Size.

Have a lot fun.

Table is updated to v1.0.1. Just one change, hopefully we fixed the "stuck ball under the ramp after moon lift" issue. Have fun.

I've downloaded and unzipped it right now without a problem. Download time was just a few seconds.

Beautifully redone!

I'm having one problem though, the display contents only shows in the top 2/3rds of the frame, the bottom third is blank no matter what size you make it.

All the other Whitestar tables work OK.

Any ideas why?

Rich

There are few problems: using variable BallsAtHome variable to decide whenever to unlock flippers or not is little glitchy: If you tilt the game player shouldn't be able to use flippers until all balls are drained. On this recreation the flippers can be activated during tilt so it's possible to get more than 1 ball in play w/o multiball as game does one ball search(with voice "I wanna know what happened to my husband") before preparing another ball due to failed ball search. There's one non-existant variable, causing error on startup, manually "dimming" variable BSize and setting it to whatever is in BallSize fixes the issue, btw there's no reason to use the variable since when VP is creating ball, which size is set to 25 by default. Otherwise it looks very well.

I had some lag during multiball due to the kicker to launch balls into into the 8 ball release ramp being inside the wall slightly. You may find you need to shift things around slightly to fix that. I also had the ball size but can be fixed with Titanic4's suggestion.

Back after 4 years, I'm joining again the tables I used to play. When I double click on the table file, it opens with VP95. I have the rom & vbs. The DMD does not show. Any idea ?

Thanks in advance for feedback

does it give an error? can you play the table? If you can play it the dmd is behind something. if it has any errors then that would be why.

After 4 years your best bet is to delete all VP files you have and download the 10.6 all in one installer and scrap the vp9 stuff. Vpx has most vp9 tables

4 years also means 4 laptops later. Startin' from scratch. Used the most recent installer, wich is a candy.

Got it sorted out.

The dmd was hidden behind the table, for this one & Getaway Hispeed II. Don't know why
