I have created a table that tests the flipper trajectory.  Start the 'game' and the test runs automatically, but it does not produce a report (technical reasons: in script I cannot determine the table angle, flipper strength, start angle, etc).  It takes a couple of minutes to run.

There are a series of targets placed into an arc 5 degrees apart, at a distance (from the right flipper fulcrum) of 250mm.  The targets light when hit (the result of the test).  The row of lights above indicate the test iteration (which indirectly indicates how far down the flipper the ball is when the flipper is engaged).

I have run this test with various settings: table angle, flipper strength, start angle, swing, and elasticity.  I have even tested with Physics 2.5 mod to Future Pinball.  The results seem to validate what I have been reading in the forums: Future Pinball's physics, especially related to the flippers, are questionable at best.  Physics 2.5 changes the results; but on the surface it does not appear that it addresses the fundamental problem: unreliable ball trajectory.

I am not posting this to trash, in any way, the product.  I am publishing it for peer review, and for others to use as a tool to dial in their own tables/flipper settings.  Hopefully, some variant of this will come to validate a future release which 'fixes' the physics issues as it relates to the flippers.

Thanks.

great idea and I want to test with the new physics coming from SuperNova and also Zedonius Physics mod.  This should make for some good testing, thanks

Here is a version of the table that does not rely on a timer to initiate the flipper.  It uses a trigger instead.  The test can work in either mode.  You have to adjust a constant at the top of the script to change the method.
