Friends here I give you my version of this magnificent table, this is the one created by "melon" to which he made several fixes and improvements.
The most important problem solved, is the one to which the hand does not return to deposit the ball on the table after the "No No No".

Now the table is fully playable!

El problema mas importante solucionado, es el que hacia que la mano no volviera a depositar la bola en la mesa luego del "No No No".

Ahora la tabla es totalmente jugable!

Did you contact melon and get his permission before you uploaded this?
If not, this needs to be taken down ASAP.
If you did, how did you get ahold of him?

Xgon si es un Mod de la version de Melon y no tienes el consentimiento de el... no puedes publicar la Tabla.

Lo mas seguro es que te llamen la atencion.

....I can't even tell you how bad I want to release an Addams Family Gold/Night Mod with with all the updated bells and whistles.
Because of Melon's absence, a built from scratch table is pretty much the only solution.
Truth be told, Melon did a phenomenal job on this one at the time he made it.

The only reason I am not shouting from the rooftops for Melon, is that I own a real Addams Family pin that sits directly next to my virtual cabinet.

Yes he did a fantastic job, but an update is really needed.

I have tried to get in contact with melon a few months ago, but I still haven't got any answer. Actually it is so long ago that I don't remember who asked me to contact him to make a mod of the Adams table (maybe it was xgon himself, but I can't remember that nick :) )

Since I'm not a table author myself, I'm just curious, what objections do authors usually have with other people posting mods of their tables?  As I understand it no one makes a profit off of these creations, so I'm not sure why there's a problem, as long as proper recognition is given?

That being said, I'm in awe of the level of respect shown on this board for the rights of the original authors, even if they seem to have moved on from this community :).

And thanks to everyone of the authors on this board, I had a party last weekend and everyone was amazed by the visual pinball recreations that they played!

Hello
I agree with "StreetPreacher".
In fact everything that is posted on vpforums should be of free use and modification for noncommercial purposes.
The author should agree to this license when you share your table with the forum.

I have no intention of staying with the credit of "melon", but as I see that many people complained that the table not working properly I wanted to give my contribution.

I think we are complicating something that should be simpler.

Hola JPSALAS

tu que eres un "mega" autor de tablas, que opinas sobre dejar que cualquiera pueda modificar lo que tu has creado y compartido ?

I have no problems with people making MODS of my tables, but I like it when they ask permission :) I always say yes.

I also have no problem with people using objects, images or parts of the scripts from my tables. That's what I did many times. What should I have done without destruk scripts? :) One thing for sure, I should have never figured out on my own  many things of the tables I made, from light numbers, solenoids, mech routines, etc.

But why so many MODS when there are so many tables to make? Many have never been done, and others don't exist for VP9.

Regardless of giving the right of way to mod tables, all you guys are great.  Can't tell you how many hours I've wasted playing these tables wishing I had one (like the T2 I used to own) in my apartment.

Hola jpsalas

This MOD is not itself a mod, it is more a fix, a correction, an improvement.
I can not create a table from scratch, but I can fix a script or some other minor thing.

The table of "melon" was fine, but was unplayable due to a couple of errors in the script.

Tell me what would happen if one of your tables have a problem, relatively siemple to fix, and you you disappeared as "melon" and we can not ask permission to apply the correction. Should we make the table from scratch?

We are all taking advantage of the license "MAME-like" of Visual Pinball, which allowed the advance and new versions of VP, thanks to that: destruk, randydavis99 Maddes and did not have to create a simulator from scratch.

I would like to PROPOSE that a requirement to publish "tables" on VPForums is that it is licensed "MAME-like".

This would make grow the community of authors, and finally would all be benefited.

But I do not decide any of this. Not even know how this community are handled these decisions.

Noah Fentz: you could eventually include this as a change in the policy of the forum?

Thank you all for taking the time to read this
