JPSalas did make instructions on how to convert his tables to 16:9 Full Screen but my conversion is for those with cabinets, providing a backglass and the DMD in the correct place. So if you love JPSalas's tables and have a dual-monitor setup or a built cabinet, feel free to download my conversion! smile.gif

Nice work.
I converted the other tables that JPSALAS sent, but I don´t know how to add the BACKGLASS Image.
How you did that?

I hope I see more tables in 16:9 format.

You can add a decal to the backbox and add the backglass image to the decal. Then put decal in the lower left corner of the backbox and chage the width and height as needed for your setup.

Checkout Elvis 16:9.

Yes, and don't forget to rotate the image 270 degrees. Once you have done that width would mean height and height would mean width when adjusting the image.

Great. smile.gif Are you going to be releasing them?

I am planning on it, but my knowledge is limited to most of JP's VP9 DMD tables, since those are easy. I don't want to get to more challenging conversions now, as I have a problem with getting too obsessed with those kinds of things on the computer, so I need to keep it down to the easy things. smile.gif I tried converting JP's VP9 TOTAN today but I can't because of "Can't create offscreen surface". I don't have the time and the non-obsessiveness to ask questions and fix the problem right now because my computer and my good hard drive (hard drive may have a virus) may be coming in to shop this week. I would like to see that table released in 16:9. Perhaps a little help on that for the future?

Hello all! I will be gone for at least a couple of days since my computer and main hard drive will be going to the shop today, so if anyone has questions about my conversion, well you can still post and perhaps someone else can help you out, or I may (with my limited knowledge) in a few days. See you all later! smile.gif

Hi i'm back. I got my computer and main hard drive back and the hard drive couldn't be fixed. We're talking about hundreds of dollars to possibly fix it. Three years worth of information, pictures, videos and a good VP collection are on that hard drive, and they are stuck on it, hopefully still there for some future me to take it someplace. I guess I will forget about that now and work with the hard drive I have now and a partially restored VP collection. I don't feel like getting my collection back. It took alot of work. sad.gif Getting those tables back is no biggie really, compared to irreplaceable stuff like pictures and homemade videos. sad.gif

Well i'm back, and I can attempt to do more conversions now since i'm back. Don't expect conversions from me very soon, and a few of them. I like to take things slowly.

Sorry about your loss of pictures/files. It sounds like you never made any backups of anything. There are several free backup programs available from www.freewarefiles.com.

Hi ... I´m trying t convert Taxi. The problem is that I´m not able to SELECT ALL the PLAYFIELD to TRANSLATE. Is there any sideway other than selecting each component at each translate action?

Select the magnify tool and right-click until you can see all the objects, then, using the Select tool, click off the upper left corner of the table and drag to the lower right beyond the table dimensions.

This should select every object.

Yes, that was my learned lesson. I didn't have a backup drive or a backup of anything. I didn't save anything to disk. I'm kind of lazy and the info just kept piling up. Would have been easy to backup everything to another hard drive at least. It's weird that I never thought of that. think.gif I will make sure to buy a backup drive (planning to get external USB) soon. Financially I don't want to do that but it will be smart to get one soon. I still like to think that everything IS still on that hard drive, safe and sound.

Not always. Sometimes some of the objects are locked onto the playfield. When you select all the objects right click and make sure "lock" is unchecked. Then you can be sure you can move everything.

Buy a copy of SPINRITE. I've saved about 5 disks that were terminally ill, a couple couldn't even be seen in windows, another with bad sectors all over it, and yet one more than was slowly dieing. The program is DOS based but don't let that put you off. It can create a boot cd and then you can let it do its magic. It takes time depending on the state of the disk but invariably it will recovery the disk enough so it can be booted or simply read to get your files off. Its one of the best secrets in HDD recovery and I'm sure a lot of recovery houses use it and then charge megabucks for recovery services.

Oh and if your file table is impacted by a bad part of the disk that cant be recovered by SPINRITE then also use Getdataback which is an excellent program for recovering all your files by rebuilding the file table and allowing recovery of deleted files. These two programs have been worth their payment in gold over the years and as yet I have not lost any critical data on those occasions when I didn't have a most recent backup.

Good luck.

This sounds hopeful. Thank you for the suggestion, but do you think it will work when the shop I took it to said my hard drive is damaged enough to have to send it someplace (like the hard drive company) and spend a possible $1500 to hopefully get it repaired? The shop said it's at the highest damage, and didn't mention anything about Spinrite. My hard drive spins well but it can't be recognized anymore in the bios and my computer has trouble trying to recognize it. It went out mysteriously, and there were absolutely no signs or sparks of it going out. Spinrite is expensive, and could I get my money back if it doesn't work?
