File Name: Addams Family W/ THING lights UNDER DMD [dB2S]

File Submitter: SPARKY70

File Submitted: 11 Apr 2013

File Category: dB2S Animated Backglasses

Author(s): Sparky<br />Herweh<br />FD
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1992

this is a version i created using Herwah's Addams family db2s as a base.

i created this to use on my cab, and thought i would share it for anyone interested.

This version is for 2 or 3 screen setups, and has the THING lights displayed on the third screen UNDER the DMD when using the 3 screen setup.

PLEASE NOTE WHEN USING THE 3 SCREEN SETUP:

for this effect to work properly, you will need to change the "FOCUS" of the DMD to display over the THING lights.

when launching from VP,
this can be done by using ALT/TAB to bring the DMD in front of the image, then ALT/TAB back to the table.

Best Results

when launched through Hyperpin,
this will happen automatically, if you are using the newer vesrsions of FPLaunch.
i know it works with FPLaunch WIP 10

or you can use another utility, that brings the DMD to the Front for you.

unfortunately, this is the only way to make this happen at the moment....sparky

Is there a "blue shining" B2S, like this, for 2 Screen with the THING Lights ?

I only have a yellow touched B2S ... for the Gold Table.

PinballX doesn't seem to cope with setting the dmd on top of the b2s for this. Do I need to use a pre or post launch script? I haven't needed to use ahk for anything else.

If I use a dmd panel over b2s on main screen all is fine ala Tmnt, but this doesn't seem to work on the secondary b2s Windows

Yes, I know which b2s you are talking about. Worked ok with VP9, but not so well with VPX. Probably will need a script to bring the DMD to the front.

Did you try pressing F5 twice to force resize this usually also force display to become priority? It's the same problem as Apollo 13 db2s I had sometime.

forcing resize or alt tabbing brings the dmd panel to the front, but pinballX doesn't seem to any time i launch it

hi STAT, what is the yellow touched? im not familiar with it.

i may be able to make it for you.sparky

anybody having a problem with the dmd hidden behind the THING lights will need to bring it to the front using fplaunch wip10 or another method.

Hi,

had the same problem with my cabinet. The DMD on the third screen was always behind things lights. This was gone after disabling the button "Start this backglass in EXE mode" Now the DMD stays in front of the b2s DMD. But the DMD has to be resize in height to make things lights visible.

yes, that is correct, the dmd hight has to be slightly reduced to help it fit within your dmd screen so the THING lights show underneath. thw width does not need to change....sparky
