I recently updated "Haunted House" (Haunted House VP915 1.10)

for my desktop VP9 setup:

http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=6550

Odd thing is when it starts up I get the following error message:

"sys80.vbs version 3.37 or higher required"

I click OK and then the table seems to play just fine.

I'd like to get rid of this opening message. Update my sys80.vbs file? OK, fine. How to do that?

I can't find that file by itself here. If I download the complete VBS 3.42 zip file from the installation section, I get the same file I already had. Dated June 15, 2012.

How/where can I get the latest "sys80.vbs" file? 3.37 or higher??!!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Grab the new VBScripts download in getting started section

http://www.vpforums....ads&showfile=17

Just extract it to your tables folder and you're good.

uberpinball,

Thanks for your response. I actually found that same file before posting my question. I downloaded the zip and extracted the "SYS80.VBS" file. Copied it to my Visual Pinball Tables folder and I still get the same error message. Odd. This file is dated June 15, 2012. Is there a newer one?

I guess I can try it again just to make sure.

NO GO.

I reloaded the SYS80.vbs from the "Getting Started" section. It is the same exact file as the one I already had. Tested it anyway. Same error with Haunted House.

Where is the secret area on this website where this file (and others) are located? How can I update SYS80.vbs to the very latest version???

Overwrite all the files that are included in the zip, not just that one file. What you actually need to update is the core.vbs file, not the sys80.vbs.

koadic,

Thanks for your suggestion. You're right!!! Once I updated the core.vbs file (along with two or three other files that came with the downloaded pack), I no longer got the "update sys80.vbs" error window. Why they don't just say "update 'core.vbs'" instead of 'sys80.vbs' I'll never know.

Thanks again

Haha. It's a exception chain, the reference was from core.vbs calling out to sys80.vbs. its not a easy explain...just have to be use to understanding the code aspect of exception handling.

Anyways, glad you got it figured it out.
