looks awesome. Only thing is the dmd does not show in the Backglass. Is that a limitation of B2s?

This is great. One of my favorite tables ! Has anyone got this version to work without stuttering ( http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=5791)? This is the only table I have on my rig that microstutters. Its a shame really becuase it looks amazing. Could the image resolution be changed to help?

Same here... this (and Creature From The Black Lagoon) are the only tables that have micro-stutter on my cabinet. For this reason I rarely play them.

Checkpoint is worse than CFTBL.

Its the way it was created not your system. Jimmy Fingers is working on a mod for it. It basically has to be rebuilt from scratch.

Body dump did the redraw for this one as a favor to me. I had gotten a lot of the resources for this table so believe me I want this one to get fixed.

Well this is great news :D. Is really a shame casue the table is really up there in the visuals department. It would be nice to be able to play it.

Cheers for this backglass!!!   :drinks:

A 'no stutter' mod was being worked on a while back. I was asked to test it and it worked well, was never released by the modder though.

Hey guys, I had previously been working on a "MOD" for this back a couple months but it has stalled now for a few reasons.  However, even despite recent events, it is still one VP task / item I would like to try and finish, if for nothing else, as a favour to Bodydump and Bent98.  The mod that thewool refers to must be something different though and by someone else as the one I had been working on was never forwarded to anyone nor completed. It helps a little now too, having a great directB2S authentic backlass.

By the way, thank you very much darquayle for your directB2S contributions.  I think your backglasses are outstanding, great that their authentic, and visually deep.  I swear the one for Pinball Pool looks almost 3D with the score LEDs appearing as if they’re sitting back behind the translite like they would a little with the real deal.  Again, amazing and a huge thanks for these beautiful gems.

As far as a Checkpoint MOD / rebuild, it's going to take some time and I'm going to have to balance it with my new approach to VP and this forum.  It's also not even really a MOD as essentially the entire coding has to be redone and I typically don't do that as it takes enough time as it is with the fine tuning around BMPR physics, GI drawing, and flasher work / layering, and other scripting enhancements.  This one even needs the basic things rubbers and posts redone as they're actually pretty basic and had also been set to alpha (there are hundreds of ramp objects to find and replace or set back to “solid” from “alpha”).  The author used a number of techniques that are very demanding on the system and not very optimized, one being using alphas for almost every ramp and another using direct / pinmame timed lights / flashers which are operating at 1/1000th of a second needlessly.  His work is completely appreciated and not taken for granted (by this modder / author at least), however, no one can really deny that something happened with the execution and end result that quite simply left it essentially unplayable for most people.  Too much to describe really on all the work that needs done and at a time where spending much time on VP at all is becoming pretty unrewarding personally and difficult to push through, which is actually killing the spirit of VP for me in general (i.e. working on things when I'm not really into it).

That all being said, I will try and get done what can be done over the next couple months or maybe do a version that's at least less stuttery but without the level of detail I normally go into (admittedly hard too as I normally am not happy with sufficing on things or not making something as perfect as I feel I can make it).  It would almost be worth a complete rebuild except for the fact that there's some very nice visual elements to this table.  Despite some of the choices made in the table design adversely affecting it, it’s actually some of these choices that seemed to give this table a unique and great look that other's didn't have - want to try and keep the best of both worlds if possible.  Again, lot's of work though to get the stutter out at the same time as actually adding more visually to it like flashers and GI.

A 'no stutter' mod was being worked on a while back. I was asked to test it and it worked well, was never released by the modder though.

Tamoore did do an internal mod, which was much appropriated. It did help the stutter a little to make it more playable but still didnt do this table justice. It was decided that the table would really need to be overhauled not just for performance but also to get the proper physics and playability. Since Bodydump and I both value and respect Jimmýs work and it was asked if he could get this table working the way we both envisioned it. (After playing his mods it was a no brainier). While I am eager to play Jimmy's rendition of this awesome table, I rather wait a while longer for Jimmy to deliver another masterpiece.

Thank you Jimmy for committing to work your magic on this table.I am sorry the scene has taking a bit out of you, but know projects like this bring joy to many of us.
