Hi there,

Honestly, if no one is working on it, I'd be willing to give it a shot. I have been looking for a table to learn the editor on but never knew what was being worked on and what wasn't. I have 3d modeling and Photoshop/ Illustrator background so I would most likely try and model the toys in 3d software (export in 2d) as opposed to using a 2d picture of the toy from the cabinet. Would most likely take a while since I'd be learning while doing, but it would come out eventually :D

I know there's a few hoops I'd have to jump through as far as getting permissions and such and then there's the task of tracking down resources and what not. I'm not really sure where to start.

Unless any of our legendary table creators desire to do so, this may remain a dream...but hopefully someone can make it happen. :)
(I have no knowledge using editor either :bye2: )
This may be the wrong section but here are the only pics of the table field from the web I could find: (maybe none of them are very useful in making the final product...best to have someone who owns the real machine take some pics.)

Pretty good find so far. Definitely good shots for reference. If I did attempt this project I would most likely draw EVERY part from scratch including all the artwork which is going to take a long time. I'm only interested in doing this if I can produce a nice end product. I really don't want to take crappy, low res 2d pictures and paste them all over the cabinet. Its going to be a pain in the butt, but I want the end result to be quality and worth my time :) . I know nothing about scripting so I assume this table would be classified as a mod which means I would need to original authors permission to do a FS HD version.

PS: Also if there was a way to verify this table hasn't been started that would be good too :D. I don't want to step on anyones toes if they are already working on it.

Thanks for your respones, hopefully someone can help out

I even heard jpsalas was doing it , but never found out if this was real !

Love the table played it allot in my youth :)

@Arcadius if you doing it from scratch no permission needed, for the coding maybe you can ask subzero1981 if he can help you out with this old script

Well that's good to know. I was looking to get started this weekend actually since its one of my rare free weekends. I'll shoot a few people some PM's and see if I can find out if anyone is working on a FS version of this table. If not, I'll get started right away.

Yes, I have plans to make this table. A Spanish friend of mine took many pictures of the table and he sent those images to Grizz to build the playfield and plastics for me. The playfield is finished but Grizz is still working on the plastics. I'll be able to start with the table in about a month or so. I have a few other tables to finish first (and Grizz still has to finish the plastics too).

Now I'm wishing that I hadn't read this thread! Not only do I now have to impatiently wait for JP's Star Wars table but I know he has others in the que ahead of it.
I feel like a kid again looking under the Christmas tree each day for the first presents to pop up. Oh the excitement! :lusty:

I'm super excited about this project! I'm a huge star wars and pinball fan (obviously haha). Being able to work with these guys is like being apprentice to van Gogh :D . It may take some time to get the models to look right, but I want to do it right and offer the best I can. I'll post some pictures every now and then to show some progress :D
