Real pinball tables, those with 3 or more flipper, allow you to control the upper flipper(s) independent of the lower ones. Why can't VP tables do the same?

It would be great if I could cradle a ball on a lower flipper and still have independent control of an upper one. When I built my 3-monitor cabinet, I used actual flipper button and leaf switches which have "push the button a little and the lower flipper operates and push it some more and the upper flipper operates" capability. I was somewhat disappointed that all VP tables operate the upper and lower flippers (either left or right side) simultaneously.

Since I am constantly comparing the playability of my VP machine with my other real machines, this would be a big improvement.

er...they can, you'd just need to add keycodes /modify the script to individually control the flipper you want.
Since there are thousands of tables that only have two flippers, or on games like the new Sterns or new Williams that controlled both flippers on the same side with a single button, most tables in VP do the same thing for simplicity's sake.

Build a fire, vipers love the heat.

Also most 3 flipper real tables in real life I have played haven't had this independant control you speak of, and I am talking from recent experience.... Or perhaps they did and I did not notice?!?

dual stage flipper buttons are not put in to pinmame?? / the VB scripts.

It may be able to have that added but users will need a choice so keyboards and older cabs will still work.

Also not all real games use them.

most games will have duel flippers. Most people don't know they are there, because you have to push very slightly on the button to activate the lower, and then in all the way for the second. The transition is very small, but can be done and harder to do on games with optical flipper boards. In VP it would be impossible to do, because the key is either on or off, You can't make a key 2 stage. You would need to use a separate key to activate it, and cabs do not have duel leaf switches in them, to be able to do this. Personally, as little as it would be useful, it's not worth the hassle for programs, cab owners and everyone else to even screw with. I'd rather everyone use their time to make great looking updated tables, than screw with this crap.
