Masters of the Universe UNLIMITED Edition UPDATE1 (HIGH Res WS Version)

img-41110-1343856991_thumb.jpg

Version: 1.0.0
Category: Future Pinball

Author(s): rom

Description:
High Res WS Version UPDATE1
An original Future Pinball table created by rom dedicated to the He-man series and the fantastic vintage Mattel toys.
INSTRUCTIONS SHEET is included in the download. You might want to read them carefully (it might be worth it).

IMPORTANT settings in the VIDEO/RENDERING options:
-Model quality MUST BE set to HIGH!
-Render ornaments must be CHECKED!
-Render game room must be UN-CHECKED!

Note: This table was created and tested using the original Future Pinball physics. So I do not guarantee flawless gameplay if you use other physics, but it was reported to play well on those physics too!

-KNOWN ISSUES:

It may happen sometimes (especially during the 9 ball multiball) that the game produces no new ball when it should.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1) Balls can't drain because they stick next to each other below the apron in front of the drain hole (happens if too many balls want to drain at the same time).
No problem here, try a little nudge and the balls should drain.
2) One or two balls are stuck in the kicker behind the spinner below Skeletor. (solution: press K on the keyboard)

Explanation what the HELP keys do:

PRESS K: If and ONLY IF a ball is stuck somewhere in a kicker press K on the keyboard. This will pulse all kickers once.
(it happened to me once during the 9 ball that 2 balls were stuck in the skeletor kicker behind the spinner)

VERY LAST RESORT:
ONLY IF nudging or pressing K will produce NO RESULT:
PRESS B: If and ONLY IF a ball can't be found or is completely stuck and can't be nudged free any more press B on the keyboard.
This will produce a new ball in the plunger lane and you can keep on playing to save your high score.
(never happened so far, just thought it might be useful….who knows)
(NOTE: This is no cheat button and WILL mess up the game if the ball is NOT stuck or lost)

QUICK HELP GUIDE:
No new ball:
-STEP 1: NUDGE;
…nothing happens then
-STEP 2: press K (you can press this key more than just once);
…nothing happens then (last resort)
-STEP 3: press B (only press ONCE)

Superb table but the toys make this table a sod to run smoothly. I had to remove a few of them to get to a stable frame rate.

One of the best original FP tables in a while (apart from Knight Rider of course!)

Plays beautifully for me. It's really fun, takes me back to my childhood. It's got some of the best 3D models I've seen in FP yet - they look like the real toys. ROM did an amazing job. cool.gif

Played this for about 2 straight hours on my cab last night - sounds are just awesome - totally brings me back to my days as a little kid.

(The beauty of FP is all tables can be made FS - you don't have to have a separate file for them and they're so easy to scale and adjust for your own set-up)

Fantastic ! otvclap.gif & plays flawless on my laptop, at least with two balls on the playfield . (I only played one game but going back to it now !)
Thank you very much ! dblthumb.gif

PS: Amazing, runs flawlessly with 9 (!) bals on the playfield too ! I am in awe!

Absolutely amazing job! If these were real tables, Stern would have some serious competition.

I'm curious - When is the James Cameron movie compilation table going to be made? (With "Bill Paxton multiball", of course.) tongue.gif jk

Beautiful table, I have had a few glitches and one that can seriously tamper with high scores, if the ball lands in the He-Man drop, it can sit there and cause the score to rapidly increase.

Otherwise I think this table is as close to perfect a recreation as I have seen. Sincerely, this is beautiful work, If only I could reduce the startup time.....
