Zone Fury WS

Version: 1.0.1
Category: VP 9.x Originals

Author(s): Neo

Description:
Zone Fury 1.0.1 for VP9 - WS Version
Update to Version 1.0.1

- Minor cosmetic fixes
- Added code to prevent the ball from bouncing back upward at the bottom of the ramps as could otherwise happen when you get above Zone 20

Zone Fury is based on the Zone mode in the Playstation 3 game Wipeout HD. It is the first table I've built with my currently-unreleased Bravo table template.

In Zone Fury, the goal is to get to as high a Zone as you possibly can. The table starts out at Zone 0 (Sub-Venom), and you advance Zones by making ramp shots. You progress through the Zones as in the original game. From the Wipeout speed classes early on, up to and beyond Zone 75 (Supersonic), "magnets" that serve as accelerators accelerate the ball as you progress through the Zones. The force of the bumpers also increases with each named Zone. The idea is that the game gets progressively faster the longer you play.

Please ask for my explicit permission before modifying this table for public release. I built this table as a fan of this series for fans of Wipeout and pinball. I don't own any of the images, sounds, and music used in this table. This table is not to be sold by anyone to anyone. The table and its music are meant to be available as a FREE DOWNLOAD to
be enjoyed by all. No profit of any kind is being made by the author of this table. If you bought this table either by ebay, or some other means, YOU WERE RIPPED OFF!!!

Game Music Credits

Table Startup/End of Game: Excerpts from "DOH T" by Cold Storage
Mix 01 and Mix 02: Excerpts from "Euphorasm Vol. 2" mixed by DJ Sly One
Mix 03: Excerpt from "Listening" mixed by YuSik
Multiball: "PSI-Missing" by Mami Kawada from the anime series To Ari Majutsu no Index

The zip file includes a text-based rulesheet, this readme file, and the mp3 music files. Extract the music files to the VP Music folder. You may need to create it if it is not already present.

Zone Fury has been released. Hope everyone who is interested likes it.

By default it's in WS format. If you have a 4:3 setup, just go into the editor, and in the backdrop options change the X-Scale to 1 and it won't look squished on a 4:3.

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to do a FS version. The more requests I get for it, the more likely it will be that I'll break down and make a FS version.

Fabulous table, dude! tup.gif YYEEAAHH!!

It's very interesting to see that the flippers change to match the zone. Very nice! You make use of Collections very well! Makes me wonder what other features are in the table once I get used to it's difficulty level and actually score something! rolleyes.gif

The script is worth studying to see how it's done. It is one of the more well-written, cleanly coded tables out there.

Nicely done!!! cool.gif

This has been updated to version 1.0.1.

Just some minor cosmetic fixes and I made it so the ball shouldn't bounce upward from the bottom of the ramps (right above the inlanes) when you get above Zone 20.

Remember playing some of your tables in the past. I am always impressed by the ruleset you created in them. Usually pretty deep for an original. Now I have a mini-cab I don't play 4/3 or WS anymore so would like to see a FS version.

Just notice you already released it http://www.vpforums....mp;#entry174309

Will check it out!
