Just when I start getting prepared to watch a boatload of NCAA basketball this weekend, you have to release this beauty! smile.gif

Now I have got to find time either before or after the games to fit this in.

Thanks for the release UW!!!

Everybody makes mistakes, even PacDude...

The flippers are solenoids 9, 10, and 11. So you could fix that if you wanted to.

'solcallback(9)="textbox2.text=" 'left flipper enabled (requires smoothing)
'solcallback(10)="textbox3.text=" 'top right flipper enabled (requires smoothing)
'solcallback(11)="textbox4.text=" 'right flipper enabled

I would suggest - for our purposes, something along the lines of:
removing
'Flipper Subs
SolCallback(sLRFlipper) = "SolRFlipper"
SolCallback(sLLFlipper) = "SolLFlipper"

Changing the callbacks from
SolCallback(9) = ""
SolCallback(10) = ""
SolCallback(11) = ""

To
SolCallback(9) = "SmoothTimer"
'SolCallback(10) = "" going to double up flippers on solenoid 11 which is fine as is
SolCallback(11) = "SolRFlipper"

LeftFlipper.TimerEnabled=500 'smoothing delay to release flipper power

Sub SmoothTimer(Enabled)
If Enabled Then
SolLFlipper,True
LeftFlipper.TimerEnabled=0 'solenoid was energized, so ignore and reset timing for de-energizing
Else
LeftFlipper.TimerEnabled=1 'enable delay timer to see if the machine energizes the solenoid again
End If
End Sub

Sub LeftFlipper_Timer
LeftFlipper.TimerEnabled=0 'solenoid has been disabled for 500ms, so de-energize the flipper coil
SolLFlipper,False
End Sub

And then change the keyup for the leftflipper to make it more accurate -
If keycode=LeftFlipperKey Then:Controller.Switch(33)=0:SolLFlipper,False:End If ' de-energize flipper coil immediately as flipper has been released by player

oh, you're welcome UW. You might want to experiment with the timing and the right flipper might need something similar - but it reacts better than the dang left flipper... smile.gif
- the game seems difficult to tilt in VP too - it's very generous with the warnings.

I will be patient and just wait for the update.
But I am certainly glad to see that this table has come so far so fast.
Thanks to everybody involved on making this possible.

Oops. Thought this was the full screen thread.
I assume the FS table needs the same tweaks?

Yeah it would. All the capcom tables could have some improvement to their flippers - difference being that UncleWilly cares and makes extra efforts to provide the best game he can muster, and people like me, I have no time anymore to go through and update and fix tables between my employer, and other external life factors right now. So again, kudos to UW - you are appreciated. smile.gif

Great work as always.
A couple glizzitches tho. There are chunks of area (1 pretty large) on the PF backboard & under the neon, where you can see right through to the backdrop. Surprised nobody noticed this yet. Also, very minor, but the left side of the orange tube rings have some black glitchiness on them. No hurry to fix this or anything, we'll live:)
I still haven't played a game yet, but I will shortly.

I also wanted to point out some ratio stuff for users out there. I saved the above screenshot, saw it was 16:9 ratio, but I have a 16:10 monitor. Yet when I adjusted for 16:10 (x-scale to 1.665) it looked too wide, but same as the screenshot. So I thought I would launch the table at 16:10 but with default settings, & it actually looked perfect.
So it is 16:9 users that may want to narrow the table a bit. I think multiply x-scale by .88 or .89 (so 1.125 I think)
Then for those that need or want 4:3, go 1.875 I think.

Then for those on laptops, I guess you'll have to do the 16:11 math, IDK. I have a 1200x800 laptop as well & while I play mostly on my desktop its not fun converting everything that isn't simple 4:3.
& this is just 1 of the reasons why I wish every table was 4:3, everybody can launch fine at that ratio. On most releases now I have to go through the above just to see if it was made for 16:9 or 16:10, cuz nobody really specifies. Man it would be nice if one day soon we could just simply set VP to launch by selecting a WS resolution, & not have to mess with x-scale for proper display ever again. However, all that said, I'll happily deal with it if ppl keep cranking out tables like this one. Wow.

Thanks, UnclWilly, for this table, and thanks that it's desktop version. I continue to be amazed at all the work authors like you put into these magnificent tables! It is freakin' AWESOME!

Such a table as this demands a machine worthy of playing it on. My somewhat underpowered laptop (1.9 GHz dual core, 896 MB RAM, ATI Radeon 256 MB) chokes a bit on it. I'll have to reserve this one for my work machine w/t 24" WS monitor (2.8 GHZ dual core, 1 GB RAM, ATI Radeon 512 MB). This table definitely DEMANDS a larger screen, that's for sure!

Best wishes for you and your family. Enjoy your lil' ones when they are still little. In no time at all, they'll be having their First Day Of School. Seems like my lil' nephew was just born yesterday ...*-POOF!-* .. he'll be starting school this Fall! You are truly blessed. Regards, -Peter

Hey, 1234fd, what kind of laptop? I'm very jealous! cool.gif

Oh, BTW, that Smiley in your signature's very cool! Where do you get those at? I think you had one that said, "VP ROCKS!" That one was very appropriate. VP really does ROCK!!
