25 - Wolf Man                   wolfman         Peyper
26 - World Defender             worlddef        Nuova Bell Games
27 - Zephy                      zephy           LTD clone of Xenon - no sound

These all work in Visual PinMAME 2.4 - Atlantis (LTD), Black Hole (LTD) and Zephy (LTD) don't have working sound, but would be playable if we could figure out a table script for them.

The music for Cobra is pretty good - I was surprised. UBoat 65 can be set to english by pressing 7 through all the adjustments and audits until you get to Language - it has English and Italian available.
Press 1 to change the selection and 7 to save the setting.

I've been looking for pictures of GamePlan Rio for years - the script and layout is done, we just need ANY picture of the machine's playfield and plastics since it's a clone of Foxy Lady.
Break is the only game from Videodens we have ever heard of - any pictures of the machine would be appreciated, as well as pictures of UBoat 65.
Pictures of Pompeii would be appreciated too as we already have a bowler skeleton for it.
L'Hexagone is like Genie, but has a unique sound board with it so that would be really cool to hear/play.

Manuals for some of these games are available here:
http://www.tecnopinb..._biblioteca.php - I downloaded the Star Fire manual yesterday - it might be interesting to try to get that playable.

One that I noticed is not on the list is Lawman/Sheriff by Gottlieb. There are tables for VP8, as mentioned before, but no updates or new versions for VP9. I believe Osprey 101 mentioned he could get pics and samples of that table.

This list is intended for Visual PinMAME/Roms - Lawman/Sheriff are both EM machines. One guy did make an entire list of machines that included EMs, Bagatelles, solid state, everything from IPDB and that was just too many games for me to keep track of, so I prefer to keep it short like this (40 or so tables) to look at working on.

I also have the hope of one day maybe seeing DE's King Kong, if the team can ever get a dump of the roms.

alot of the vp8 originals, vp6-vp8 EMs from here and http://www.irpinball.org/ play fine in any vp9 desktop exec for vertical and FS.
some maybe needed a little modify to ball release to plunger and spinners.
some needed a little more work than others.
can you use the existing table, graphics and the script to update to 912 for 4x3 and FS?
will new pictures be needed for the update?

btw,
some old tables like jungle princess played but had a problem with the pop bumpers in 912.
the ball contacts a pop, sticks to it then started buzzing.
played fine in 905-908.
tried dampening and some other things.
whats the problem with the old tables in 912 with the pops?

I had started a redraw of 'Trailer' and contacted JP about doing the build. We've put it on the back burner until VPM can handle the rom properly. I really appreciate the dev's efforts to continue expanding the tables that can be built, and hopefully the system 5 Playmatics will be available down the road. ( Pun intended).

Dang it...you're right. We should change the flag to say the game isn't working for those.
So, removed Trailer, Star Fire, Rock 2500, KZ-26, and UFO-X -- those are all Playmatic MPU4 or MPU5 games. It looked like UFO_X would work - I was able to add coins with a few switches set, but then it crashed within a couple seconds.
Megaaton I was able to start a game with.
The others appear to react just fine with the trough being switch 6 or switch 18.

U-Boat 65 the game gets to ball 3 and doesn't end and there is an issue with the moving 5-bank. If anyone wants to look at that, send me a PM.

I bought this today from ebay --

I hope it will have a switch layout page so I can put the switches in the right place. The game has a bunch of holes in the playfield and each hole has a number, but I've been unable to find a picture of the playfield with legible numbers. So the diagnostics tell you that switch #xx is Left Hole 5 but without knowing where that switch goes on the playfield, it'd be wrong...

A video of Trailer (with sound) is here:

Looks like it has 15 cpu-controlled lamps in the backglass, features a truck horn and basic chiptune type music.

What I find neat is I always discover new(to me) pins that I have never seen before. Never heard of "gold wings", a table that looked like a failed Top Gun license attempted, until this week.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been checking on the LTD games - nobody has recreated any LTD machine for Visual PinMAME yet. Cowboy Eight Ball, I found a decent stripped bare playfield for that, and it starts a game. smile.gif
It's basically a clone of Eight Ball Deluxe with different plastics and BLACK bumpercaps - but more importantly (to me) it plays different music. It looks like the script would be close to Taito, but the switches are different, so you can't get it working by just changing the Sure Shot table to load the cowboy romset. Most of the LTD games are clones of existing games - Al Capone is really the same as "Speak Easy", Black Hole is the same as BlackOut, etc etc.

I think Mr.Black is the only Taito game we emulate that has a working 3-ball multiball - I saw a video on youtube and recorded the sound from that. (similar to Defender layout).

Yeah I saw a re-skinned playfield or two. Some company(forgot which one) in 1988 re-used a playfield from '78, but was nice enough to add a ramp or two. Okay, it's Robo-War. I love the cheesy marketing materials to it. And they even use the traditional Checkbook font, a staple for every sci-fi pinball machine!

Maybe Taito's "Ice Cold Beer" is missing from the list. Although it's not a table, the ROMs are available. I haven't checked whether or not it functions correctly.

That sounds cool smile.gif It has very interesting mechanics, something completely different from pinball machines. Looking forward to it!

Ps. Does anybody know whether the ROMs for ICE's remake of Ice Cold Beer could become available or not?

Nobody I've talked to, ever, wants to dump roms from their ICE machines. We have a rom for ICE Cyclone, that's all.
And Ice Cold Beer will still need about 800,000 walls to be done in VP, so that's an impossibility to do it that way since it would take 2 hours to render the table to play it once, every time you click play.
Rom or no rom it'd still take that much time for that many walls, so it's not on the list here - and I don't think the rom actually works - it shows the displays but beyond that I'll need to look at it more.

Why that many walls? There must be an easier way to do it. Well easier ... A way with a lot more being programmed smile.gif
