Jacks Open 4:3

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x Recreations

Author(s): pinuck

Description:
4:3 Version

Jacks Open.
This table represents several firsts:
  • The first pinball machine I ever saw or played - in the backroom of a small-town sub shop, circa 1979.
  • The number one rated EM currently on IPDB
  • Its first appearance in VP
  • My first VP solo build.

A quick rundown on the rules:
  • Hit drop targets to complete the modes (lit card hands) and advance to Special
  • Completing top 4 rollovers advances to next mode
  • Each completed top rollover will light lower playfield lanes for higher scoring as well as increasing value of drop targets, but these reset when all four are complete, and it starts again

High score entry on the post-it is like a standard WPC style (flippers, start button). Score file is in VP/Users

finally a big thanks to all who helped out:
  • Noah for taking photo and video reference for me
  • Popotte, Greywolf, eburgess4 for supplying manual and clarifying rules
  • everyone who's code i learned and borrowed from: jpsalas, Wizards_Hat, unclewilly, rosve, Kruge99
  • And for testing: Kruge99, rosve, DedRok_V, Sabbat

Enjoy!

The action on this table fully matches how splendid it looks. A surprise that such a great classic took so long to get the VP treatment. Very glad it fell into such capable hands. Thanks for this amazing recreation.
