oh man i saw your post and though WOW you guys did finally get it built! I think it was tiltjp who mentioned this a while back that he wanted to try to make it in vp but did not have the resources to get the ball up and down that easily. I loved this game it had a few different versions of it too depending if it was set up for a tavern or not. we had a few named Ice climber as well as many that had the actual beer PF and marquee like that one of your does... tough as hell for as simple as it looks!

Just watched the video from that guy from TNT Amusements demonstrating the game on Youtube. Looks like a game you need to play while inebriated. (Well,I guess you had to be if these games were found in bars! )
Need to set or reset replay levels on a particular table? These guides will help you:
An alphabetical listing of VPM emulated tables with their MPU and links to their specific replay level, balls per game and volume adjustment procedures can be downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet from this link:
If we're not able to get the emulation complete in pinmame, then I'll work on it for VP without roms. Right now the selftests work and nothing else, and the layout uses 3 layers of graphics so the ball should show up behind the main playfield as it drops down through the holes/behind the holes. I suspect the bar will take about as many walls as Star Trax did but with only 4 or 5 solenoids in the machine it shouldn't be all that difficult, and the rules aren't that complex either. The bottom ball release lever isn't cpu controlled either - the bar goes down, catches on a tiny post on top of the release lever, and it gets pushed down mechanically to release the ball on top of the bar - it's a fairly nifty little device. Zeke's Peak is the same game but with different music, different segmented display messages, and different overlay art. Of course I would prefer if VPM could be used to control the displays and scoring to be more accurate, but we'll just have to see. I've ben watching a lot of video clips for both variations, as well as the ICE clone of the game and the top hole #10 should have a red lamp in it, not white, so fixed that.
drunk or sober that game was tough! I used to play it while cleaning it years ago, and never got a third of the way up that damn thing! But it is great for bar bets! just watched the video...I hate that kid!

ok, this is about the coolest thing I've seen VP do in awhile... I estimate the full playfield will require 180,000 walls to animate the bar - so I'm not sure if there's enough memory available but I'll go ahead and give it a try - and it'll take a lot of time.
what type of extension is that? my tower won't even download it... it keeps on crashing saying it won't support that file 180k? geez I bet I won't be able to run it at all, due to the tremendous amount of processing that'll need good luck with that, building those bars should keep you busy for a while...

Destruk, that is AWESOME, man! This one's going to be a blast!

Only 180,000 walls? You must be almost done by now !

Played on in TX back in March, it is quite fun and addictive. Always a person or two standing next to it at the pin-fest. I think it will go on my lifetime WTB list.
