Goldeneye (Trout Mod 1.2, VP91x, Desktop Edition)

Version: 1.2
Category: VP/VPinMAME 9.x - MOD Tables

Author(s): Pingod / UncleReamus / Destruk (Original Table), The Trout (Mod)

Description:
A high resolution graphics mod of the Sega table from 1996.
---
Version 1.2
---

A quick and dirty update to include alpha ramps, since they look considerably better than the checkerboards. They aren't the greatest alpha ramps ever, but they'll do. If someone thinks they can improve up on them, they're more than welcome to, since I suspect I won't be updating this table again myself.

This is the first release of the "desktop" version of the table. It's been scaled to look correct on 16:9 monitors. If you're still using a 4:3 monitor, open the table, go to Edit > Backglass View, and change "X Scale" to 1.33. By default, the backdrop is my generic "room" picture, since I find having the backglass in the background to be distracting. If you want the original Goldeneye backglass art instead, just go to Edit > Backglass View, and change the "Image" dropdown menu to "backdrop_ge."

Changed the physics. I think the game plays better now. Additionally, the eject hole shouldn't cause any more insta-drains. It still falls out fairly randomly, but catching it shouldn't be a problem.

Version 1.0
---

* Updated various tidbits to make the table play well in VP9.
* Replaced every graphic on the table with high resolution artwork.
* Rebuilt all the ramps.
* Deleted every backbox decal and EMReel, then replaced them with objects on the table itself - this includes the tank, chopper, and signs, which were all built in 3D using walls.
* Tweaked some aspects of the layout.

KNOWN BUGS:

* Sometimes the ball can be seen through the dish image when rolling out of the bumpers and under the dish. I know about this and it can't really be helped at the moment.
* Sometimes the locks don't work. It's weird, and I'm not sure why, but it happens.
