Can't seem to get this table to work I get the error "Script Error Line: 313 Object doesn't support this property or method: 'BigBangBar.Slope'

The line in the script seems to be this: BigBangBar.Slope = 8.5 : Kickback.FireSpeed = 110

I am using VPinball 9.02 with PinMAME 2.1 and BigBangBar_PD_1-3. Any help would be appriciated, Thanks.

It is a VP8 table - you'll need to change the slope lines to slopemin and slopemax, for vp9.

The ball gets stuck at the end of the left ramp where it drops into the inlane on my VP9.

The table was not made for VP9 (see the very first post - it states it's for VP8.x). Some tables need to be adjusted/changed for them to work properly due to changes in VP9 (one being that the ball size is larger and that's why the ball is getting stuck).

I noticed something by watching this video:
http://video.aol.com...cid=VIDURVENT10

You will notice almost all the lamps use varying brightness levels.
From the technical standpoint, they're only being pulsed with varying pauses in between.
However the player won't notice any of that because of the sluggishness and the afterglow of the lamp filaments.
That goes for all the Capcom tables of course...

So I came up with the idea of using the ChangedLEDs function to store a 4-bit value (0..15) for each of the 128 lamps,
so different brightness levels can be accessed for each lamp now.
It seems to work quite fine, so whenever that table is to be redone, please remember to give it a try
(and also remind me to release VPM 2.2 when you want to implement that feature and in case you cannot compile VPM for yourself)! wink.gif
"How could it possibly break while I'm holding it?" - "Because YOU're holding it!"

Gaston,
Thank you for your continued work on VPM! It would be greatly appreciated if you did release VPM 2.2. I'm guessing that there are quite a few of us who are unable to compile it ourselves.

I can get the game running with VP9, but the voices and music are now missing.

Game looks good, lighting is solid and gives it the barroom atmosphere (which is probably where you'll find a pin like this).

Is there any way to lower the "brightness" of a table without lowering overall gamma (to make the lights stick out more).

Johnny Mnemonic and now this table both have the dark room look I like (I worked at an arcade when I was 17 and I used to close up. Played a lot of old Williams machines with the lights off.) Trying to recapture that feel.

Brief description from Wikipedia:

A compiler is a computer program that transforms source code written in a computer language into another computer language . The most common reason for wanting to transform source code is to create an executable program.

Export the playfield graphic in the vp editor. Edit in your favourite graphics program (paintshop pro, photoshop etc) and reduce the brightness contrast to your liking. Then reimport through the vp editor.

Hmmmm...
This is not a new release (first release: 04/17/2006).

It should be very useful to have a topic dedicated for such tables previously released in the old VP Forum.

Funny you pick this table. Now go and take a look around. 98% of the VP8 tables are old. One topic would blow the roof.

You're right.
My requirement is to know if a table is a real new one, and in this case download it.

A table is new if it was uploaded after today, Destruk and TAB uploaded everything they had which should be enough of the old ones.

Ok, I'll download all tables, and then I'll compare them to my own base (8 years of tables).
