I finally got fp to run without crashing. I had to update my .net framework to like 4.5 or something like that. When I start a table I get a open gl error that some setting is off and fp performance may be affected. What do I have to adjust?

install opengl driver for your graphic card
normal nvidia and ati drivers come with open gl driver, drivers included with windows don't have opengl (for obvious reasons
)
other option is that your graphic card is not good enough for FP (intel cards are usually not good)

My paper cab
core.vbs with better nudge
FPLaunch with exit menu, instructions, flyer - local vpf copy
VP with support for analog nudge and plunger with any gamepad

ensure you are running it in 32bit mode - video options
Build a fire, vipers love the heat.

I'm assuming you mean the depth? I have the color set to 32 bit for the display.
Blur: I know Intell cards are crap but I didn't get this error before I switched to xp from vista (dual boot). I had poor performance, but no open gl error. Could my dual core help with this at all?
Intell Pentium R dual core 2.16, 2.16, 4g of ram- only recognizing 2.87. Intel graphics media accelrator 4500.
By the way Vp is much better under the new xp.

if you had it running on vista you probably don't have good driver with opengl on xp, did you downloaded newest drivers from intel?
cpu should not be a problem
for slow performance you can disable anisotropic filtering and high quality textures and go to minimal preset.

Is that the "Future Pinball has detected that your OpenGL acceleration is running in software mode" error? I got that in FP with my old MX4000-T128 video card with OpenGL 1.0, and even with my GeForce 6200 'upgrade' (OpenGL 2.0) until I cut all of the settings to the bare bones; since then, the loading and playing of FP tables has given me no trouble. Although 2.0 seems to be borderline-sufficient, Shader support supposedly didn't come into play until 2.1; **your GMA 4500's 2.0 could be part of the problem; maybe the drivers mentioned below will bump it a bit.**
A few days ago, I stumbled across something to the effect that GMA 4500 is Vista/7 -specific and wouldn't work with XP, but I didn't have time to pursue it and neglected to bookmark it, then forgot where I found it (natch). Last night, however, I found reference to XP-specific drivers for Intel Integrated Graphics---sorry if this is stuff you've already done, obtained or rejected:
http://www.techeta.c...-42-1-5248.html (April 1, 2010)
and two drivers at Intel's Download Center: 6.14.10.5294 (Sept. 24, 2010) and 6.14.10.5303 (Sept. 28, 2010).
Pentium processors (individual models aren't specified) are on the 'supported' list.
Also, from Intel's Support forum ( http://communities.i...5204?tstart=465 ):

What can I do to further improve graphics performance?
Though you'll need add-on graphics to run the latest games smoothly with high settings, there are some solutions that can work to speed up performance. Get the latest video drivers and using the Intel Graphics Control Panel, go to the tab named 3D, then select "Enable Software Processing" from the Vertex Processing menu.
Older Intel GPUs like the GMA 4500 series might run faster with software vertex processing than hardware. Of course you can choose what you want to run on.
How do I change hardware/software vertex processing settings?
You can just use the latest Intel Graphics Control Panel to easily select between vertex processing settings. The newer HD Graphics used in Core i3/i5 CPUs are fast enough that hardware vertex processing is always faster than software, but older generations like GMA 4500(that includes GMA 4500/X4500/GMA 4500MHD) might benefit depending on the game.
From the graphics control panel, go to 3D-->Vertex Processing, then select what you want. Default=chooses between software and hardware, Enable Software Processing=forces software vertex processing for all applications, Application Settings=forces hardware vertex processing.

So, if that's not just another version of 'check/uncheck HD Render', maybe it's worth something.
Good Luck.
Edit: By the way; the only processor I found whose specs matched yours is the Pentium (dual-core) T-3400 'Merom-2M' 65nm process---the 'R' must be just a trademark (Registrada)
**Second edit: I had your GMA and your GT220 (OpenGL 3.2) cross-pollenated. Sure don't want to misinform.

Sorry for the lateness of this reply, working 12's. I tried that driver from your reply and it said my computer doesn't meet the min. requirements. I got it from lenovo, the link you had didn't work. I was hoping it was a setting or something, now I see I have longer to go with updating drivers in addition to re-organizing everything from the flash drive back up. But, vp is much better due to this so I know something worked right. By the way, the gt 220 is on my pincab, this is my laptop. Vp is worse on that but that's for another day as I know I need more drivers on that one as I don't even have sound on the pincab yet. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah. I guess that place is just a download farm; I checked again and got 'Access denied/request expired' (expired just hours before I had found it). Still curious, though, so I went to Intel and DL'ed the older one of their zips (14.42.7.5294); don't know what I'll do with it, but it's here in case they decide to expire it.

Cool. Peace and sound sleep (if you can get it).

Thanks, I have the same problem with my pincab as well. I'm finding that I still need drivers/ updates, although I saved the video drivers, but the chipset drivers need updating as well. Thanks for the help. I think this will be a wip. I was hoping it was a setting or somethng easy. I'll have more time this weekend (aside from drinking, working on a wip for someone else, and re-organizing my desktop and laptop from the migration back from the external hard drive after 2 os changes)
. I'll keep you posted.

Ok. here's the error I get, then the graph runs very slow and the table appears with a lot of stutter just rendering the table. I know it's got to be a setting because fp was actually faster under vista. I had stutter redering the table- but not as much, and vp is MUCH better under xp, so I would think that if vp can improve so can fp.
