Faeton VP9 1.01

Version: 1.0.1
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas, destruk

Description:
Based on the table Faeton by Juegos Populares (Spain) from 1986
Thanks to Raúl for the pictures of the real table and to destruk for all his help with the solenoids, switches and lights.

note:
The hole on the left not always awards you with 30.000 points as indicated with the light. I think the points awarded depends on the bonus, but I'm not sure about that.

Update 1.01
- fixed the center targets so they work like in the real table. Those targets are connected together so when you hit one side the other side become visible.

Another great work, as you usually do, but this one has something special for me beacuse I remeber playing this table in the "bares" many years ago, and I had not ever found it made for VP.
Thanks a lot for you work.

Nice job there .... one question though, do the two pop bumbers at the top of the table work? They do not with me. Whenever a ball hits them they do not react. It's probably me being dumb.

This is driving me nuts and I should know this but after the ball drains and a new ball appears what song is played?

Its a similar tune as I remember hearing in the Popeye arcade video game. (similar sound generator perhaps?)

Thank you JP once I heard you were working on this table Faeton I couldn't see any pics of the table other then on your wip page. Very cool to have such an obscure rare game to play smile.gif

I noticed JP that the FS version has an attract mode where lights flash on the table but its not working on the desktop version.

Also when I play the FS version I can't seem to find the Score, its off of my screen somewhere I think and I can't get to it, any ideas?

No I swear it sounds like a real song I have heard before I believe a tv or movie theme but could be a video game

Another idiotic question, what is the difference between free games (next to the extra balls in the back glass) and credits (on the other side of the back glass. I swear I scored both in one game but could be wrong.

Beautiful table!

Here is my first version of the UVP:

Faeton UVP

Currently it has the backglass lights, the scores and the player selection lights.

Enjoy!

Edit:

Just uploaded version 1.0.1:
- Added 'TILT' Light
- Animated Credit lights (not the correct ones, I believe, but its a start. smile.gif )

Attract Mode on 4:3 version works fine for me. Sometimes you have to wait about 30 seconds for it to start though.
