version 1.5 of DH I have the ball stuck every time it hits this spot. The only thing I changed was the cabinet settings to suit my personal view. Using VPX 2194

Here is the initial test version of Rescue 911.

The rar archive contains the table and the .nv ram file you may need if you've not played the game before.

If you cannot coin up the game, then replace your nvram file with the one included in the archive or follow the procedure at the bottom of this post
which should allow you to reset your current rom and allow coin up.

Edit the script to turn the rotating beacon light displayed at the top of the playfield off or on.

Const marson = 1 = Light Is on
Const marson = 0 = Light is off

This table uses many resources from the original VP9 version of the table so many thanks to Requlem for these.

Also a huge thanks to ICPJuggla for creating the mesh ramps for the game which added a super nice level of detail to the game.

As mentioned earlier, the chopper in this game is not the correct one however Zany has been kind enough to allow me to use it.
Personally I reckon this chopper looks great but for the sake of authenticity sometime in the future (perhaps when VP10 is out of beta)
we can replace the chopper with the proper model.

Have fun and please leave feedback, issues in this thread when you've had a chance to test.

If you do not use the included nvram file and you can not add credits then follow the procedure below.

Press 7 to enter rom menu
Press left shift key to scroll to game adjustments
Press right shift key to select
Press 1 key twice
Press F3 to reset

Works great on my slow system, 60 fps+ almost all the time. There is a huge slowdown when the ball is inside the lower right wire ramp, right after I plunge the ball. Other than that, it's great. :dblthumb:

Select Primitive52 in the editor (lower right ramp model) and under physics turn "collidable" off and let me know if slowdown goes away.

It does, it's completely gone. Any functionalty loss? Didn't see any.

As there doesn't seem to be a freeplay option for this gottlieb system, I found an old trick from this post

Now I have a pseudo free play :D

Hi Dozer,

Thanks for the table, very cool!

I do have a problem that looks like a cloudy film over the whole playfield, I've seen it on other VPX tables also, and unchecking Reflect elements on the playfield in the editor clears it up..

But I can't see the reflection of the chopper.. :(

Any idea what causes this or a fix to clean it up another way?

Rich

Tried the Windex, didn't work.... :)

I know others have had reported this problem on other tables, does anyone know what's causing this. Is it a VPX issue or video card /settings issue?

No, actually I ran it on my desktop PC without a front end, but the video card 9800gso is a little older on this system.

I'm going to try loading in my Cab which has much newer/faster hardware and see if that makes a difference.

I always download and test on my desktop first.

Thanks

Update:

Tried it on my cab and it works fine with reflections enabled.

Went back to desktop PC and restored NVidea 3d settings to defaults, restarted PC and now the reflections setting works there as well (without the cloudy film).

Maybe that Windex had a delayed reaction...  :)  lol

When you downloaded VP10, it came with new vbscripts, you need to install these to play VP10 tables
