File Name: Xenon (Bally 1980)

File Submitter: jpsalas

File Submitted: 15 Jun 2016

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1980
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

And the 4th table for Leo and Jolo :) Thanks for testing the table.

This table has higher resolution graphics than my usually playfield and plastics. It is a very plain VPX table, without fancy 3D objects, just good old fun.

The light effects are done with vpx lights, no photoshop effects. The blue flash is made with photoshop though, but it is a single image. The fading is done by changing the intensity of the flasher. I have made a smaller "fading lights" mostly for the ROM controlled flashers, since the lights fade by their own.

Now it is time for my summer holidays :) So I'll take a break and I'll see to go back to some old original projects.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

Another great surprise!  Thanks, JP... great table.     :)

*edit*  Just tried this out for the first time... very smooth ball motion, great graphics... I always love the themes on these early 80's/late 70's sci-fi/fantasy tables.  Who knows what they were even thinking?  Just pure weirdness.  :)   I love it.

Holy crap. I am not usually a big fan of pre-1985 tables (super short attention span) but this is one of the tables I really like!

Can't wait to try it out.

Great table - just one minor thing, the credits are not being displayed on the backglass.

Press F6 to bring up the dip switch menu, check the checkbox for displaying credits, click OK then press F3.

Hope this helps.

So, A where/how did you get those light IDs?, and B we are more looking for the flashing lights at the plunger, that continue to flash until that ball drains.. lower right.

service manual,

if that does not work ,  trial and error. add all the missing lights up to 130 and see witch one matches the animation.

the plunger lights are L101

I made this table a few months back,  but given how much people like to complain about the physics,  I was not going to release it until the physics where updated.

I had to add a magnet to the top kicker (multi ball advance counter).  given that  9 in 10 times the ball would not hit the kicker.
