WHIRLWIND for VP9.2+
by ICPjuggla, Cosmic80 and Herweh
Playfield by ClarkKent
Very, very special thanks to Blackmoor for providing us awesome scans and images of his pin, for play-testing a lot to get the gameplay feeling as accurate as possible and to always be there to answer all our questions.
This is a 'from scratch' rebuild.
Check out the options in the table script. You are able to select the plunger lane direction, the apron's cards color, an option to rotate the Williams logo on the apron like Whirlwind's fan and an option to select a fan or storm sound when the fan is on.
Thanks for and to:
- Fading lamps code, flasher images and a lot inspiration from JPSalas
- Bumper's meshes and a lot inspiration from UncleWilly
- Some sound files, flipper tap and saucer code from JimmyFingers
- Alpha Ramp Plunger code by Koadic
- Ball rolling code by JimmyFingers and/or Rascal
- B2B Collision code by Steely & Pinball Ken and Koadic
- Two sounds files from the older Whirlwind build (thanks Noah for allowing us to use them and thanks to UncleReamus)
- Play testing by Blackmoor, Lobotomy and Pipshag.
Hopefully we haven't forgotten anybody.
The table features 'Customizable Options' at the top of the table script. You may select VPinMAME, UVP or B2S, DMD rotation, GI and/or Flashers on/off, Cabinet Sounds or Ball Size. There are some more settings to affect the gameplay.
Have a lot fun.

What's New in Version 1.0.1 (See full changelog)
- 1.0.1:
- - both cellar entries triggered the super cellar score but just the "yellow" entry should do this
- - tweaked cellar entries to make it more difficult/realistic to get in
- - moved the lock gate a bit up to avoid the stuck ball up there
- - coded the 3 targets vice versa to the manual :-)
- - added a fan and storm sound as an script option, sounds taken from the old WW build (the two sound files have to go into the 'Visual Pinball\Music' folder).
Every time a new virtual table is released, I'm blown away by the things you guys accomplish. Really great and a joy to play with! I have to agree with the comment of Robotron 2084 about the ball speed; I play the real version of this pinball at least once a month (at my pinball club) and although it is quite a hard table, the real ball speed is lower than the speed in this version. Would be great if this could be fixed. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Ball gets stuck in cellar/super cellar with no sample being played only getting ejected after about 20 seconds via automatic ball search. Tested with VP9.21 and up to date vbs scripts. Any ideas why?
*edit* Version 1.0.0 works fine though, so I modded the new wind/fan sound feature in myself (which is excellent btw)
My opinion on this table: looks fine but playing is an exercise in frustration as this is a complete drain monster, even after reducing maximum speed etc it's still very unforgiving just like the real thing. Constant nudging is required! The cellar bonus display severely reduced playing speed on my machine so I had to remove it and the table had to be stretched on the X-Axis as it looked way too slim in my opinion. Still a nice effort, I rate it 4 stars.
