Hi,
this is a tutorial on how to find out the switch, light and solenoid numbers of an (earlier) SS-Pinball machine without having a manual or any documentation.
I did this a number of times already and wanted to write the procedure down, so that others can use it if need be.
Keep in mind that this analysis is quite a guessing game and You will need gameplay videos or a real machine if You want to be 100% sure of the correct usage and placement of switches and insert lights.
Attached is a Word document and an example table with the tools I use.
The second attachment is the missing mssdtfmt.dll VPinMAMETest.exe is asking for under Win10.
Regards
Michael

What's New in Version 1.0 (See full changelog)
- 1.0:
- initial version
I can't launch VPinMAMETest.exe : I have the error 'MSSTDFMT.dll class not registered'.
I try the command : regsvr32 "C:\Windows\System32\msstdfmt.dll" :
the command works but VPinMAMETest.exe not.
OK the version of VPinMAMETest.exe in github works for me : https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame
