This table has become one my 80s favorites. Nothing like smacking the karate master in the balls lol 😂

I have a problem with this table, the plunger button is not working for me. The enter key on the keyboard is also dead. Any other button is working as it should. I even tried to replace the key up/down line in the script with one from another table. No success! I'm using JoytoKey with the plunger button set to NumPad2 in the preferences. Every other table is working fine.

It would be cool if someone could help me out of this!

Thanks!

I can start a game & move the flippers, but the plunger won't move. I have the 14.57MB version, since I play on a desktop.

I already had it, but in case there were any changes, I chose "Yes to all" when it asked about replacing files. But, that didn't help.

I have no idea why the plunger should not move. It is a standard plunger and the plunger script is a plain standard script. So I have no clue, unless you need to turn on in the Video/Graphics Options:  Alternative Depth Buffer processing, and/or Software Vertex processing, all depending of the graphic card on your machine.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

I tried all possible combinations of those options, with no luck. :(

Other Tables are fine ? You also have the ROM File in /roms Folder ? Shouldn't be the Problem for Plunger, well … strange.

Any Chance to Play/test on another PC/Machine ?

Yes to your first 2 questions, & no to the third.

I just noticed, I'm not the only one with this problem. See post 43 in this thread.

My point about that is that it could be an error in the script or nvram file.

I had a similar problem when i first downloaded this table, the plunger worked fine but the flippers did not work at all. I downloaded the Bally nvram files again and overwrote my old files and everything is working fine now.

UPDATE

4.0.0 Updated 9.9.2022
- Updated to my VPX7 physics
- cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
- Added my VPX7 LUT changer to darken the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL). Including GI brightness adjustment. Use the LUT changer together with the day/night slider to give the table the level of darkness you prefer.
- Updated my mechanical set of sounds to a more "under the glass" sound, as people seem to like those kind of sounds better.
- Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

coin slots 1 2 and 3 (keys 3 4 and 5) all work here
VPX 10.7.2 rev 280
I would check your keymapping or your VPMKeys.vbs

Not a table script issue or vpx version issue

I did have to force the B2S to show the DMD part
appears out of the box to be set to hide it, and then you cant see the score

but i dont know when the b2s was made or if JP even made it

I am pretty sure it probably wasnt made with B2S Server 1.3.1.1 in mind either ;)

I don't make b2s, there are other people much better than me to make them :)

Black Belt is a Bally table, you need to enable the coins or simply download the Bally - Gottlieb System 3 nvrams, bally_6803_gts3_nvram.zip, from the menu Getting Started > Essential files.

Thanks JP and everyone involved in your tables for these updates.

The display segment "D11" has no point of light in the center, it looks dull or burned out.

So put a new light bulb in it.
I mean JP cant go about lobbing free lightbulbs to everyone
