Yeah, the value of pinhackexpandheight in Eight Ball Deluxe is just a blind guess. I've been trying 400, 500, 600... and the values that showed the whole playfield were 800s. I'm now in 830.

On the other hand, when I open the Reshade UI my computer drags and sometimes crashes. I'm talking about the mouse pointer moving 5 seconds after I move my hand...it's impractical. *

Is Reshade always like this?

Oh, and when I almost have the values located and changed they don't seem to save. Even after writing them on the .ini

*Ok, after a bit of try 'n error: the game itself uses the mouse buttons as flippers, and the dragging and crashing are almost gone if I actually play the game with one hand and tweak Reshade with the other. Figures. Regardless, the changes still don't save.

I tried this: since

Intern_scaleY=1.363

does nothing to the Y scale, I tried the X scale

Intern_scaleX=3

to see if there was a significant change. And there was. Huge. But the Y scale does not work.

I'm sorry, I don't want to bother and it's almost Christmas so I'm just going to thank you one more time for your incredible work and wish you all a Feliz Navidad.

See you next year.

Most of the shader settings are set by the launcher so most settings in ReShade'UI won't be kept except brightness, CRT/Frame/Curv/R180 and a few others.

The settings are to be put in PinCabView2D.ini next to the launcher in its game section (same name as your config)

for example :

[8BallDlx]
GameMax=1
DMDOriginal_resolutionY=47
DMDOriginal_positionY=1
Intern_scaleY=1.363

The values here should be wrong I didn't test this game :)

Edit : For the ReShade's UI sometime it works perfect, sometime it doesn't at all... It denpends how the game/soft works...

Merry Christmas :)

I found a "workaround":

Opened PinCabView2D\Presets\8balldlx.cfg

and then set these values:

InGame_ratio=9.000000,16.000000
Intern_offset=0.000000,-0.130000
Intern_scale=1.000000,1.360000

Saved & set file as read-only (!) et voilà: https://imgur.com/a/NXtR9SL

Now I have to figure out how to make the score reappear because it's being drawn "outside" the screen due to the offset & scale.

your settings appears to be good but the method isn't. it will be difficult to get the DMD with a read-only preset.

adding the game settings in PinCabView2D.ini as explain above doesn't work??

For the DMD you have to put its Y size "DMDOriginal_resolutionY" in PinCabView2D.ini too It should be approx 50 according to your screens :)

Yes, I don't know why putting the values in PinCabView2D.ini doesn't work. Other values *do* work, like Intern_scaleX, but Intern_scaleY doesn't

This is absolutley amazing. Aubrel, you're a genius!

If anybody has sucessfully integrated Epic Pinball in a 3-monitor-cabinet, please feel free to spread a YT-video of the result. I'm so damn curious how the game looks in a cabinet....

P.S.:i wonder, if one day somebody comes around with a cabinet patch of Apple's IIe pinball game Raster Blaster (1981)  :-)))

Yes you should make a try, it's very fun to play again these games in a pincab :)

When making this video I found a small problem with the grill in 3 screens cab when the DMD is displayed bellow the backglass.

I will share a fixed version with updated shader during the weekend

Edit : Now updated to version 3.3 to fix a grill display issue for some 3 screens cabinet users and more improvements.

Enjoy!! :)

I just posted a new video to show how it works, how it's easy to install and how it detects itself your config :

Here the games running are Pinball Illusions (GOG version using DosBox) and Slam Tilt

PS : I made a mistake with the DMD size X when editing the ini file at 9:25...

I put 1320 pixels instead of 1280 and that's why the DMD is not perfectly centered in the 3rd screen

I'm lazy so I won't record again just to fix this detail :D

It works! Really amazing. Good work, @Aubrel!

Quite easy to install, just hat to adjust the DMD size and position in the INI - now i am playing Epic in my cab :-)

Aubrel, in your videos you describe the integration in PinballX. Is there anywhere a short instruction, how to set up Pinup Popper?

You can use PinCabView_Run to include all PinCabView games in PinballX. (Except Banzai Run Mod released today for now, it will be included too soon)

I don't use PinballX - i have Pinup Popper installed. So i wonder if anybody has a example for the start und exit-Script to use in Pinup - this would save me a lot of try & error time...

Last but not least: i've bought the Epic pinball at GOG. It was worth the money to "show off" the brlliant possibilites of PinCabView2D and to play a little bit around in my youth, but i wouldn't spend more money on other DOS tables - just because i won't spend playing time with them (i better invest in FX3-tables, because the family will play those). Well, so if occasionally somebody has i "hot link", i'd happy to complete my DOS pinball collection ;-)  ...

And, yes, i will contribute to this great community with the dvelopment of another useful piece of software (as open source). We just have started a nice project. This will be announced, soon.

Hey there! I just stumbled upon this, and it sounds amazing! Unfortunately, the download doesn't seem to work anymore - is it possible to reupload this?

Thanks in advance!

I can't get this to work with Pinball Fantasies, Pinball Mania and Pinball Fantasies Deluxe. Somehow, when I launch a table, the playfield doesn't switch to "no-scrollable" mode, the dmd is attached at the bottom of the non-scrolling playfield and in the dmd area, in the backglass, there is no DMD. Is there something I can do? I also tried Pinball Dreams, Pinball Dreams 2 and Pinball Illusions and it worked perfectly on these ones, without a defect. Thank you!

I managed to obtain the expected results creating a link for every single pinball table (eg: Ignition, PartyLand, Tarantula, etc.), following the miniguide attached with the software and adding them into the "PC Games" emulator section!

As written in the software special notes (which I didn't read carefully), we must get into the game options in Pinball Fantasies/Mania (press F5 in the main menu) and set resolution to "high", then hitting save and exit will make it work!
