I did a wheel image for my table Motörhead and I have a problem with the contour which is not sharp on my screen

 

It seems ok on the image below because the background is clear

 

I use Gimp with the feature transparency, is it the right software to do that ?

what program are you guys using to get the transparent background on these wheel images?

Photoshop or GIMP probably
