For the lack of graphical material found, backglass
was almost entirely rebuilt
and does not respect the original (it's a fantasy version)
Animation wheel works
Animated lights added for a best visive impact

If you want to be shown the match, at the game ends
do the following:
After loading the table press F6 (for dip switches)
1 Novelty mode: normal game mode
2 Game mode: replay (required for the match)
The rest should not be changed
Press F3 to save the settings

First off, WOW! That is really sweet.  It looks totally original to me, very nice work.  I started to make a BG video of the current UVP, but it just didn't pop. I decided that I would wait and hope someone did a kick ass job on a B2S one, and here you are! ;)

 

Now since you invited me to give input ;)

The animation is turning the wrong direction, it should be going counter-clockwise and way slower.

Also there should be blinking lights withing the animation, maybe remove the face shield blues and use them for the wheel?

Also from this video, it looks like most of this action is going on in attract mode, but I can't tell for sure.

Lastly, adding the infinity lights around the border would really look cool, just like you did on Space Invaders B2S! You did a great job on that one as well.

 

Anyway, love your BG's, glad you use your powers for good and not evil. LOL!

It's ready to go and looks fantastic!  I was just making suggestions to Teamtechnic of things that could make it closer to the original if withing the limits of Db2S.

I heard R DUB for infinity lights in Black hole.
R DUB confirms that there is no text in the script that can drive them.
I do not know how to get on.
The only way is to contact the author to see if he can modify the script
See if you can reach someone.
For the wheel you were right.
I see to fix it.

I sent a request to MostlyDecaf, the MOD author, to see if he would consider making the change to the script to include the infinity lights.... We'll see.

 

Backglass looks great as is, the infinity lights would just be the Icing on the cake! Thanks Much TT!!!!

The backglass looks good. I agree, the flashing lights around the border would make it even better :)

Just one comment: on the real backglass there are no Credit and Ball In Play display segments, since those are already on the apron, just like in case of Pink Panther and Q*Bert's Quest. So if the goal is to keep it as close to authentic as possible, then those should not be there.

The segments however have to be defined in the dB2S so that the table works properly, just use the property 'Invisible' for those LEDs, that's why the feature was introduced in the first place. Then the PinMAME window and the backglass have the matching number of LED displays that keep everything working smoothly.

I love what you did here! The only thing I would fix if you haven't already is I don't see any credits register, or what ball is in play.
