I have an issue with 3 backglass amongst my 600 working tables.

My system: VPX10.6 with PinballX, GTX1070 8Go, 16Go RAM, W10, 256Go SSD, 43' 4K playfield and 32' BG, no third screen or external DMD. 

 

When I launch the tables ADDAMS FAMILY (g5k version), FLINTSTONES (g5k version), and FUNHOUSE (wrd1972 version) with VPX, all is OK, even if the tables and their backglass are a little bit slow to load.

When I launch one of them via PinballX, the backglass doesn't launch at all.

I use Blacksad's db2s for Addams and Flinstones, don't remember for Funhouse but it's also a big file in high resolution.

 

My db2s server is upgraded, changing the settings of the db2s like "exe mode" didn't solve the problem.

My system works with others big files for db2s in high resolution like TOTAN, so I don't understand why it doesn't work with these 3 specific db2s ?

 

Any ideas / suggestions ?

Hello,

For information, I never built a Flintstones B2S (just posted an image) but the Funhouse is certainly mine

I had the same problem than you with Funhouse and Flintstones, no backglass loaded when tables were launched with Pinball X (but worked like a charm when directly loaded from VPX)

I solved this today replacing my old Pinball X with Pinball Y avaible here : http://mjrnet.org/pi...pe/PinballY.php

Besides I also had a problem with capturing videos because the recording started after 10 seconds and big tables needs more time to load on my poor configuration. This 10 seconds value was not modifiable in PBX recorder, however this value is modifiable in Pinball Y which includes a video recorder.

In short I warmly encourage you to try it, especially since it is possible to install it parallel to Pinball X and it is possible to use pinball X files with pinball Y so there is no need to start from scratch.

@Blacksad: first of all, thanks for your answer, and also for your hard work. Your B2S are fantastic ! 

 

PinballY was my first choice when I installed a frontend in my pincab one year ago, but I never could make it work correctly, and I finally installed very easily PinballX which worked perfectly until now, and the latest very big files for tables/B2S.

 

As I already have PinUpPlayer installed for tables with PuPPacks, do you know if the big tables/B2S like Flintstones, TAF, Funhouse, Monster Bash, TOTAN... would work with PinUpPopper ?

I understand that if I use it I'll have to configure my 600 tables files again (no "link" with PinballX files), but I think PinUpPopper offers more options and is a better long-term choice than PinballY.

 

If a PinUpPopper user could confirm that the latest tables/B2S with big files can be loaded without any kind of issue, I'll install this frontend.

The mentioned tables works for me in both PBY and Popper. So, the answer is yes.
