I am seeing a strange behavior when the ball goes throw the area shown in the image. I get strange colors and lines in that area temporarily. Thoughts?

You are getting graphic artifacts when the ball goes through the gate. It happened to me also. Go into the editor, and click on backdrop. Then adjust the X offset to move the playfield over to the left. I have mine set at -190.

That fixed it. Thanks!

I did notice that when I get the ball up one of the ramps on the right, it actually rolls overtop the ship rather than under it. smile.gif

Thank you so much! biggrin.gif

Really like this table so this update will just make it better for sure!
Do you have plans to make use of the transparent ramps in the new vp when the bugs is ironed out?

Thanks again!

Love this table, Really Nice Work. Im still seeing a error on startup when When changing to UltraVP.BackglassServ in the script. Is there somewhere special this needs to be changed on this table?

Look at the first page of this topic for what I did to fix the message box coming up.

I'd really like to incorporate the alpha ramps, but they don't appear correctly on my system. Not sure if it's the graphics card or what. However, I'd like to release an updated version 2.0 with better looking plastics, more lighting effects, a different 4x3 viewing angle, and GI- once I complete Who Dunnit and Junk Yard. I've learned a lot building my two follow-up tables and think I can do a better job, visually, with this table. Maybe at that point I'll look into getting the alpha ramps to work too.

Thanks for the release. I am still getting an error when I use a UVP with this table. Anyone else tried a UVP with any luck?

What UVP? did you make it yourself or is it one you downloaded?

It's one I made. The UVP comes up, but I get a VBScript error "object doesn't support this property or method".

I am getting the exact same error. Never had that error before...

comment out line 153 of the script. put an apostrophe at the beginning of the line so it looks like this: 'If Err Then MsgBox Err.Description

i would like to say thank you for the comment on getting the table from that ' error and thank you for the fix

Well... I hadn't even thought about this table in a very long time. When I fired it up yesterday to compare it to my WIPs, I was not satisfied with it. So I spent today updating the file and I am much happier with how it looks and plays now.

CHANGES INCLUDE:

CHANGES IN UPDATE v2.0:

*OPTIMIZED for VP9.9
*Uses ALPHA RAMPS For Better Appearance
*Balls Enter and TRAVEL RAMPS More Easily
*Improved PHYSICS & GAMEPLAY
*Updated SUBWAY SCRIPT
*ALIEN HEAD Back Entry Now Works
*ALIEN HEAD Animates Faster
*Fixed ALIEN HEAD Trigger Misfire
*Timer Used to SIMULATE DYNAMIC LIGHTING Effects
*Updated SOUND EFFECTS
*ANIMATED SLINGSHOTS
*BALL LAUNCH Will Randomly Hit Each of Three Drop-Slots
*Adjusted FLIPPER COLORS

*Numerous Other Adjustments

The old 1.3 file is still available in case v2.0 isn't to your liking. I would have liked to update the lighting details a bit, but I can't locate the original files I used. Oh well, guess I gotta move on ; )

Report any bugs you find and I'll see what I can do to eliminate them. Plays fine on my system though after much testing.

Let me know if the UVP works on this version! I heard that it did not on the previous release, but I don't have dual monitors to test that out. And if it's not, and you know how to fix it, message me please.
