I think you're missing the point.
If you pull back, you can't let up before releasing. You can only release at the best-guessed time for the strength you want.
A Nanotech plunger, like a real plunger, you can pull back, then let up to shoot at less than full strength.

007 - what the video shows and what you describe is what I have installed, cheap and effective and works fine. You can still make skill shots no problem, just need to approach it differently and this also requires 'skill'.
I've read so many negative things about the Nanotech from constant re-calibration and faffing on, most tables don't support it, and now this customer comms debacle... then factor in I would be an overseas customer. For me, why go through all the hassle when the simpler alternative does the job well.

I'm going to see about carrying them on the VirtuaPin site.
About recalibrating ...
I've done it ONCE on my unit, moved it to Chicago, back home, then the Michigan Pinball Expo, back home again, and it works just like the first time I set it up. I think it boils down to how the board is set up in the cabinet, personally, and we set it up in our units to make calibration as easy and accurate as possible.

I agree, calibration should be rather simple. I wish that Nanotech had included a piece of paper with my motion adapter kit with a picture showing their recommended installation.
I'm in the middle of designing my dual-screen Virtual Pinball/MAME cabinet and I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to put all the buttons, joysticks, and plunger on the controller surfaces while still being able to properly locate the circuit boards.
Best Regards,
Todd.

Thanks for all the replies to my original post. Since the company advertises on here, I'm guessing this is where they get their main customers from. Threads like this with a great deal of people complaining have to have a huge impact on the business they do. I would like to see a rep from the company comment on this situation.

Noah,
Where / how do you mount your board on your units? I bought the motion IO kit and I cant seem to get it to stay calibrated long enough to even play a game. Also, I love the idea of the plunger but I have not found a table that seems to work with it.
Thanks,
Mark

It's been 3 weeks since I've ordered the Pinball Wizard Controller from Nanotech which retails for $299. Emailed them on Monday (to their sales email) asking for an ETA on when I can expect to receive the controller. Have heard NOTHING from them. I've heard it takes a few weeks to get this product, BUT, at least have the decency to respond to emails.
Very disappointed so far. This is not a cheap product, so the least they could do is maintain good communication with costumers who are willing to pay for their product, especially since they advertise on this site!
I'm strongly considering contacting my credit card company and getting my money back. If they don't answer emails now, will they if I have a problem down the road with the product (assuming I ever get it)??
In fairness to them, I will update this post once I have received some sort of satisfaction from them.
