I know this video is FP-BAM OpenVR, not VPVR... but it's very much VR related (and cool if I say so myself)

You get to see me at my dorkiest! ;)

Halloween (Ultimate Pro) - PinEvent: "Big Bloody Mike Mod"

- a demo video of my creepy and cool table update to my PinEvent version of the table
- new animated Michael Myers, on the playfield and in the game room (he will follow you wherever you go during attract mode)
- new moving BAM "real" spotlight flashers that act as flashlights looking for Michael in the dark (very cool effect)
- new flashlight ball in The Chase
- new bloody effects during Stop It
- game room wall show tv signal in Stop It
- Michael will hide and appear at different events in most modes
- creepy as F**K in VR!

The table update is almost done!

You and me both. My dream table to create is Silent Hill. FP-BAM can pull off most of what I want to do for that... but VPE would really allow for some cool stuff.... as long as there are easy to use tools for authors to use for original tables... then imagination will take over.

Dude, that is just too cool.  Bowing down repeatedly, just giving thanks.  Awesome.

VPE, I think is the END-GAME, it will just be such a game changer.

Gave away another Oculus Quest 2 tonight to a friend, They flipped out, It will be great when I show them pinball!

I answered you in other thread, but in future, you are better served asking one, in the tables actual support thread

rather than several times in completely unrelated threads

Hello, I have a big problem, suddenly today, and while everything was working properly, the VP VR it broke down. the tables open normally, I can see them correctly and around in VR the room, the problem starts when I put in coins and press start. then the game starts and crashes so much and freezing that it is impossible for me to play. I tried everything, I did the whole new installation VPX from the beginning, but the problem remains. what else can I do? to format pc? I can not think of anything. please help

He asked the same at many Facebook groups. I sent him a working ROM, but he wrote the same problem with the left flipper there. His problem isn't the ROM.

Do you use the vr-version from 03.07.2020 or 15.08.2020? If not, try them. Don't use the vr-version 10.7.

Well, he never answers back with what exactly he has tried, other than to say what ever rom you give him does not work, and all the roms can not be broken.
I wonder if he has bothered to actually do what it says and run the test, cause maybe he has a stuck button or something.

Course that is assuming he did delete the NVRAM, as many roms botch the nvram sometimes on the 1st try.
You just delete it and relaunch and its fine ever after, im thinking it may be because the rom cfg file simply didnt exist yet

Did a forced firmware update on my Quest 2 (through ADB commands) and I'm pretty blown away by the quality now possible with Link. Huge upgrade.

If you have a tutorial on how to do so... that would be great... as I'm still waiting for my update.

I have sidequest already and I'm familiar with adb commands etc

Update:

I see he referenced the reddit thread. That's what I used. I definitely recommend that and using those folder structures. If you do, you can just copy and paste all the ADB commands.

One of the Oculus engineers posted about this update:

https://www.reddit.c...r_with_v23_for/

Really only need to use Oculus Debug Tool for overriding the bit rates. I wish they had released some guidance on what each GPU was capable of. I'm still using a GTX 1070 and am only running at 225Mbps. I kind of wish I knew the number I could safely go to without overwhelming the NVENC encoder on it. I think I was getting some artifacting at 300Mbps on my card. So I would assume somewhere between the two numbers, but I wish I just had a number I could safely use without testing anymore.

Hello,

I have a problem with my VP VR setup, since I upgraded to a new VR-Headset ( HP-Reverb -> HP Reverb G2 ) I can see the table on the normal monitor on side by side picture and the movement of the headset but in the VR Heaset it only shows the next UP Visual Pinball sign form Steam VR.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

You got a source? If this is true, I bet it is Oculus exclusive (at least for a period of time). If it is available on steam, I buy it immediately. But VPE will kill it (hopefully soon).
