I had a very good flow on the new Tommy table and got a new highscore: more that 1,238,000,000 points! :)

Dammit I thought that I was wonderful with my 760,000,000 ... I will need to try harder :)

And thanks to ClarkKent for the images and sounds here you have TOTAN for VPX.

The table needs the latest vbs since it uses the new vpinmame calls for the trough and saucers.

The table is dark and noisy, thanks to the samples ClarkKent provided. Also thanks to him for some images and a ton of resources (pictures, videos, sounds).

Playfield is still the one Grizz made.

The 3D lamp was made by Michael Gallo.

The Genie was made by fuzzel, and I only did some small modifications (I think I gave the Genie too many steroids :) )

The download link is in my web site.

Edit: maybe a picture is worth 1000 words? :)

What a pleasant surprise

Love, Absolutely LOVE the new sounds and the overall look and feel of the TOTAN beta. Thank you JP and ClarkKent all involved in this work. Each beta release sets the bar higher and higher as everyone has something new and different to use in the tables. My hat is off to all of the authors and Devs ... Thank you

Received this error tonight after lighting tales from the rock and making the left ramp into the pop bumpers. After about 4 hits in the pop bumpers this error happened and then a hard close of VP10.

I thought Dirty Harry played abit odd, the ball just died...then i changed the Playfield Friction from 0,06 to 0,009, and now it plays very close to the real machine, which i play really often! :)

Thx :). At least those settings are a compromise and definitely not perfect. I would love to see a something like a physic thread with lots of patches for different tables and a interesting discussion of how other people think of it.

True...a thread like that would be really good. Alot of people have the opportunity to play the real machines, and can compare it with the VP ones.

Sorry for being quite for a long time. I'm very busy presently, and I have no idea where I could steal time for my VP projects ...

So here's a - not yet final, but ready for playing - version of "Legend of Zelda" with support for BS2, DOF, and UltraDMD . This complex project was a teamwork of a lot of hard working authors:

The original table came from LoadedWeapon and JPSalas (Original gameplay wasn't touched by me in any way).

The B2S was made by bassgeige (can be found in another thread)

The DOF defintions were done by Arngrim (who else?)

The UltraDMD addon for VP was made by UltraPeepi (can be found in another thread)

Loafer, Zany, Arngrim, Shadowsclassic, Gigalula, bassgeige, and many others did the testing. I'm pretty sure I forgot somebody, don't be angry with me.

And I only threw everything together.

So, here quick-and-dirty how-to:

1. Download the zip package.

2. Extract the table to your table folder.

3. Extract the DMD files (the ones in a separate folder inside the zip package) into a folder of your own choice.

4. Open the table.

5. Change lines 9 to 12 inside the script so that the configuration reflects your personal preferences (was that correct English? - Doesn't matter, you know what I mean ...)

- If you prefer to use UltraDMD (Line 10 = "Const UseUltraDMD = True"), you need a running UltraDMD environment, otherwise unpredictable results may occur

- You can use both DMD types at the same time (UltraDMD and Fake DMD via reels). That doesn't really make sense, they are also not synchronized)

- This table needs B2S and DOF, it doesn't work without them.

- If you are using UltraDMD, tell the table where it can find the UltraDMD runtime files (not UltraDMD itself, but the ones that you extracted before) in line 12

- Take a deep breath, hold it and start the table. Check the result and continue breathing.

I had a lot of helping hands when I implemented the features into the table. Nevertheless I was not able to implement everything I had planned, but I don't want you to wait any longer. Because I'm very busy presently, I'm still working with revision 2162. But I hope that the table runs also under newer revisions. If you run into problems, please report them here. It might take some time until I'm able to correct them. Sorry for that, but real life comes always first. :whtflag:

So here's the link to the table and the DMD files: https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing. Have fun!

While I was in ultra DMD I clicked hide, any ideas how I can get it back?

Edit:Resolved

"Alternately, from a command line window, run “UltraDMD.exe /config” or “UltraDMD.exe /c” to Configure UltraDMD.  This is especially useful if you have a hardware DMD and have chosen to hide the virtual DMD window."

dang nice TOTAN!  Need to play that some more!

Here is another of the old EM tables I've been working on.  Paul Bunyan, Gottlieb 1968.  This is an update of PinballPerson/Leon Spaldings VP8 version I found on some other site :)  I have updated images, still not great but better, and updated the play logic to allow for either 3 or 5 ball play, and to allow selection of different replay options.  I personally prefer the 3 ball as hitting the A-B-C in order on the 5 ball is not easy.  Anyway, same old menu settings I borrowed from loserman76 and gnance, press [ to open the options menu and follow the instructions.  Thanks to randr for the triangle post primitive from Humpty, this table would be lost without it.  As always feedback is most welcome.

File contains a directb2s file as well, so can run desktop or FS, although as with all my tables the FS settings are for my cab which has the playfield in portrait orientation.

@Sinbad : Zelda won't work for me.

I don't use UltraDMD, so I set UseUltraDMD to False.

I launch the game, and when I press the 5 key to insert a coin, I've got "Error at line 1765 : Required object 'UltraDMD'".

If I press the 1 key to start a game, even if I can't insert coin, I've got "Error at line 2156 : Required object 'UltraDMD'".

I putted the UltraDMD files you provide to my Vpinball\Tables_VPX\UltraDMD\Legend of Zelda", just in case they were needed, to no avail.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks for the great work ;)

Judging from Bunyan's expression on the backglass, it appears he's quite pleased with your work, Borgdog. Congrats on a beautiful table. Love the way these VP10 EMs look.
