Hi guys. I've discovered 2 little bugs there. I'll test it more and will upload a new version with those little things corrected tomorrow. I'll also release the FS version tomorrow (thing animation needs some work).

maybe today, wink wink, nudge nudge smile.gif))))))

Thanks for the sweet update, I really like those new flashers and the small tweaks that make a great table even better.

Just a mention that you can include the larger images in future 4:3 releases, since those with weaker graphic cards can choose the VP9 option to keep images at 1024 when loading.

I'm working on what is a pretty in depth mod of this table for personal use.  It has now gotten to the point where I think it would be good to share with all the updates, optimizations, & couple bug fixes.  I just tried to send Melon a PM asking about his modding policy, but PM's can no longer be sent to him.

Not sure if anybody knows his policy or knows how to reach him?  Any help would be appreciated.  He hasn't even posted on the forums since 2011.

Can he receive PM's there, I wonder?  Or is there an email address?

I don't know if he can receive PM's. I'll send him one and I'll see if he responds.

(I have sent him a message, now we'll wait and see if he answers)

Ooh man, TAF sure could use an overhaul, maybe you also could do something magic with the terrible soundquality....

Hope Melon can be found and that he will approve ! But thanks in advance rob46 !

What is the terrible sound quality?  Are you talking about the ROM?  I am updating some table sounds, but can't do anything about the ROM sounds.

As for approval, no word yet & judging from how long he's apparently been away from all his forums, its not looking good.  This is a tough table to build & code from scratch, as you can imagine, so if modding can keep a table like this up to the latest standards then it only makes sense to do it.

I forget what the latest modding rules are.  Is the 30 day rule still there?  I'd much rather get permission, but he hasn't posted in like 16 months.  If I can't share it, that is fine, I'll have it for myself which I often do, but since this is one of the most popular tables of all time I thought I'd try to get it to everybody else as well.

If he can't be reached hopefully you can still share it with everyone. Seems wasteful not to be able to if he's no longer involved in the vp scene.

I'm sure he is talking about the ROM sound quality.

The Addams Family sound has always been horrible and scratchy.

Some people don't seem to mind it very much, but I cringe every time.

The Future Pinball sound version is awesome, of course I realize it is not using the actual ROM's.

I hope you find a way to release an update to everybody.

Actually, compared to some other sound boards, I think this is one isn't too bad.  Also try adjusting sample rate, & make sure you don't have the rom volume up too loud since it can start to crackle.  Maybe I'll toy with the ROM volume configs to see if that can improve anything.

Wait, so the FP version sounds better?  This leads me to ask, where did they get their sound from?  ROM sounds are usually ripped using PInMame, right?  If so, the quality should be about the same.  Please correct me if I'm wrong about any of that.
