Inspired by Fluppers artwork Images i started learning blender.

It's a nightmare, at lest for me. I discovered you can save polygon

files, *.obj with a CAD program called FreeCAD. But this piece of

software is still in development and you will not get the unwraping

for the texture. So you will have to Import the *.obj file to blender to

create the so called UV map. My first try was a failure the second

try i got somthin what did not look like a proper unwraping, but i

could impoort the file into VP. The position was way off compared to

the placed primitive.... I knew it was a lot of work to createa VP table,

but i know now it's lot more than this.

If you need help, let me know. The learning curve for Blender starts with a vertical wall for the first couple of weeks  :stunned:

Quick update:

- added the backbox clock on the backwall for people without a second screen (and it works)

- all plastics are now prerendered with a glass layer

- added screw textures (still need to do a few)

- made a new texture for the ramps which looks good when the table is lit up (is now one big texture for all three ramps); and they have refraction!

- rightramp divider and money ramp are working (still need to add some animation though)

- EAT lamps (on backboard) are now working

The table looks fantastic! I'm always amazed at the talent on these forums. Most of you guys do this because of your love of the subject matter, but some of you should really be getting paid.

The refracted images along the left long plastic look amazing. E.g. The "Please No Spitting" sign looks realistically warped when reflected by the plastic ramp's side walls. So great!

Fantastic work, Flupper!

The actual ramps texture is this one (half size, the actual one is 2048x2560):

Most amazing table until now, very impressive, waiting eagerly for the first release.

I'm not allowed to say this: but this is the new benchmark table in terms of graphics

Man...that is so beautiful....the illusion of depth is so convincing when you look at the apron and the plastics and the convincing way that they are lit. You'd swear this is a real table. I'm so so amazed at what you guys are able to create.
Bravo.....Really looking forward to this one.

The fake refraction looks absolutely AMAZING, also for the unlit table to my opinion.

Very cool stuff here!

Stunning , allmighty Flupper

Can you create the thikness off the plastics in photoshop or is it all 3D stuff ? Tried this but never with a

good result.

Yes, I would love to, if somebody has a highres version for me of these.

This is all Blender stuff, don't know if you could simulate this in photoshop. Do not think so (until somebody proves me wrong of course), since the actual objects are a 3D primitive with a flat texture which looks 3d...
