Videos or it didn't happen! :P

I ordered two eyetoys yesterday and a hat led clip. I should get it tomorrow. Weekend will be FUN! :D
I gonna tell you, the FP new recreations with BAM + FP Physics 2.5 + DMD + Ledwiz are SO GOOD! I got Addams Family, Twister, Tron, The Getaway, Scared Stiff and Twilight Zone working GREAT! Apollo 13, for some reason has the wrong code and the only thing working is the left flipper contactor.

Here's the list of FP games that fully support Ledwiz+DMD at this point:

1. Addams Family
2. Attack from Mars
3. The Getaway
4. Scared Stiff
5. Twister
6. Tron
7. Twilight Zone
8. Spy Hunter
9. Cosmic Gunfight
10. Apollo 13
11. Medieval Madness (alternate scripts required by imagamejunky)
12. Creature FTBL (alternate scripts required by imagamejunky)

What is really blowing my mind is the lack of stutter AT ALL during multiball. Gosh, in Appolo 13 you get 13 freaking balls and the thing runs smooth and without stutter AT ALL!!!!!!!! :)
I played for quite some time while testing yesterday and as much as I love VP, switching back to it after playing the same games in the hacked/feature packed FP, VP looks quite flat now :/
Still keeping everything installed, of course, but at least for now, FP is being an awesome addition to my machine (and to think I never thought about even installing it because of all the bad mouthing...).

Btw, if you want to add support to the already existent tables that do not support ledwiz yet, this is all you will need to add support yourself:

Pic if make shift led calibration board. I just used a 2032 battery as power to the four LEDs.

What are you using for the LED hat clip thingy?  Link?

Agreed. Some of the latest tables are REALLY nice, especially with support for all of the cabinet toys to bring them to life.  Also, there is a brand new Monster Bash and TOTAN in the works -- two of my favorites -- that look like they are going to be beautiful recreations.  Obviously you don't need MB though (lucky dog).   ;)

I got this one (which is overpriced. You can do better :) ):
http://www.amazon.co...2?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It looks small enough and I think I can turn off the side ones and turn it into a single led point (or even mask it all together, leaving just a pin hole visible)

I got a 40unit package of some finger flashlights so we can use it for camping and my son will love it too. I will take 4 of those and assemble a little calibration table with it:
http://www.amazon.co...1?ie=UTF8&psc=1

All together, the 2 cameras+all LEDs ran about 50 bucks, but I believe you can do it for 40 if you get cheap LEDs.

Just a 2032 battery and a led attached directly to it. Simple.

Second video is quite impressive! The extra depth really shows the effect. When you bring the depth back to normal, I think the effect will get more subtle and more realistic. It got little glitches here and there, but normally on more extreme angles. For what we want, which is to play with not a lot of head movement, I think this will work great and will add that extra juice! :D

Thanks for making the videos and sharing, randr!

I don't know in the case of the wiimotes, but as for the eyetoy I got, it don't really need lights to do the tracking. It automatically recognizes the face movement. I believe the LEDs are used for extra precision. What I might need to do is to dim/mask the LEDs I got so it gets less light emission. I believe it should work, but Iĺl let you know! :)

I was reading his page with the instructions again and seems like everything is based on the brightness, not the quality of the light itself. Simply put, the camera will track the brightest moving point. So, in theory, if you got a very bright light behind you, that mimics the same intensity of the LED you are wearing and you move in and out of that zone, the system can get confused about what source to track and might start tracking the light behind you. But seems like as long the led/led-ir is the brightest point in front of the camera, that should be enough.

I commented on the T2 video: quite impressive! :)

hmmm well the non ir-leds may be rather annoying as they are bright. I suppose just replace leds with ir-leds and that way no spotlights off your head. :)

Agreed, when I adjust LED to just minimal effects it was just enough to give 3d without poking your eye out with a playfield part! LMAO!!!

Yeah! I think that's the reason he uses IRs, because of the low light emission. But like I said before, If I mask the flashlight so I get a pinpoint light coming out of it, I think that should be fine, without a lot of light coming out of it, even if I need to add a little extra piece of film to dim it a little :D

Man I do like the bam version of future pinball the auto resize play field is great. I will say I still prefer visual pinball but this is fun to play with.
I do everything backwards so don't listen to me. :)

Are you running regular Future Pinball or FP Physics 2.5?
