I just wanted to say these VP10 tables are amazing!  Great work everyone.  Judge Dredd is a real beauty, as is Dirty Harry and the play great! All these releases are quite impressive!

@Dozer316.

I forgot to smooth the sphere, with the sphere smooth you can assign a material if you want to have extra reflections (for example), by assigning a material to the sphere flat (no smooth), you get an effect like Disco mirrorball.

New sphere attached below, just reimport it in VP.

Attached File  Sfera.rar   12.38KB   9 downloads

The left VUK ramp (Ramp386) is highest compared to wire rails.

Thanks Max, looks great.

Here is what I'm hoping is the final update to JD until VP10 becomes final or alternatively a new feature breaks the current table.

I'm a bit over looking at this thing but this update was worthwhile for aesthetics and functionality :)

Fixed / Added

Kiwi, supplied a new deadworld core primitive - Looks fantastic with reflection enabled and a material applied now.

The left VUK return ramp has been fixed (height was wrong) - Thanks Kiwi.

The top VUK was returning the ball to the wrong ramp, it should have come down to the left flipper -  This has now been fixed.

Please play with the latest BETA VP10.

Really nice gameplay and really nice effect - but I can not play it for a long time. After some time playing the fps are falling down to 4.8 fps with period 216 avg. But an i5 with 3,3 GHz and a GTX 660 are not so bad. Before this happens I get constant 60 fps with sync or even constant 120 fps (tried both settings). Slowdown happens when multiball starts. It's interesting that quitting vpinball.exe does not help, only a restart of the system helps. Haven't seem such behavior before on any other table...

I wish I had a solution for this but I have no idea what might be causing it. One thing I seem to remember you speaking about in other threads though was AA settings. (Correct me if I am confusing you with someone else). If you have any form of edge antialiasing turned on in the GPU settings can you revert everything back to default including any edge antialiasing you may have turned on in VP as well as reflections etc and see if that helps.

Thanx for the info. I'll try that. Nevertheless 99 % of all tables are working without problems. Weird problem. Maybe it's something with VPX itself?

Dozer, what an update! Awesome enhancements and the new Kiwi-supplied deadworld really shows off VP10 capabilities (thanks Kiwi!). Plays buttery smooth for me, even with AO enabled I get consistent 129fps on my i5/gtx760 rig. Not sure what CK is talking about, hopefully others are having experience similar to mine. Thanks a bunch for this table, it looks and plays great in my cab!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. this table needs the bally NVRAM  get it here

http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=1362

we don't need to see any posts of people who cant register any credits when they hit their credit key.

if you have the VP8 desktop or Full Screen installed in your system and its working.  You don't need to do anything.

2.  this table does not have a dip switch menu.  this table had a wired keypad remote for rom adjustments.

Attached File  keypad1.jpg   37.71KB   16 downloads

I thought of adding the code for the keypad.  Since I don't have  a  keyboard connected to my cab.  I did not add the

code for this remote.  If you like to change any settings  you might be able to run the VP8 version and make changes.

When playing Cleopatra, I noticed light 6 for the middle 4000pt pairing doesn't light, though the points are awarded correctly if you get both white triggers. Also the right flipper was a touch offset, as well as the extra ball light. Perhaps they shifted slightly while adjusting something. Glad to see this old fave updated, looks very sharp.

I'm having incredible slowdown with judge dredd. I'm getting 27 fps at best and sometimes it goes down to 5. I tried adjusting antialiasing but it makes no difference. My specs are 3.8 ghz, gtx 750ti so I don't get it. It's probably something simple to fix. I'll have to play with the reflections, it sounds like it could be that or something similar. Dirty Harry plays smooth as butter.

Sorry bad frame rate dudes.  I have no idea what is causing this for you.

Both my cabinets - 4ghz I5 with GTX660 and my dev computer 4ghz I7 with GTX 970 play it buttery smooth using FXAA in VP settings / Reflections ON and even with Ambient Occlusion on.  (Lowest frame rate is 128FPS).

The fact that it's slowing down to 5FPS though would indicate to me that it's not a simple GPU or CPU performance issue though, something else is wrong. Both of you have systems that should play it at worst around 120 FPS so it's got me stumped.

Are you able to test it on another machine to try to isolate the issue? - Maybe it's some kind of weird software conflict on your main cabinet / pinball computer?

Strange to see the same problems I had on much faster pcs. This maybe similar problem seems to happen on different table too like AMH(fixed now actually), Dirty Harry and maybe others? Not blaming the table authors, the results are mixed with people though. :S

I also experience micro stutter with JD. Especially when the balls travels (semi-)straight down the middle of the table.

Haven't had this happen lately even with AMH and TftC.

wow, thanks dozer, JD looks so great and I have not experienced any slowdown.  Was able to get 3 balls locked, but failed to get multiball.  Cool game and can't wait to log more time on it.

Yeah, I'm having the slowdown on AMH on attract mode, when it loads, but as soon as you play the game it's fine. It doesn't really bother me, but I'd like to know why it's happening.

Dozer, do you have any timer set to 1 that's doing a lot of work?  I'm only sharing my experience with AMH.  Remember, VPX's timers run at 1 MHz where as VP9's timers run at 100 Hz (even if you set them to 1; setting a VP9 to 10 and another timer to 1 is the same thing).  I just know that I had a timer set to 1 that did a lot of code that was causing Kaan's slow down.  Once I adjusted things to have the timer run at 10, it fixed his issues.  And my machine was running fairly smooth (not butter smooth, maybe like velour?) prior to the timer adjust (that's on a 4 year old AMD A6 and a 4 year old $50 video card).

Yeah, I'm having the slowdown on AMH on attract mode, when it loads, but as soon as you play the game it's fine. It doesn't really bother me, but I'd like to know why it's happening.

Does it happen, say, a minute after it loads (but still in attract mode)?  Does hit happen after a game is done and it goes back to attract mode?
