The recent actions on github have the per-action description of what was changed for that action.

;) sometimes with more or less helpful description of the changes ;)

But seriously, it is always good to look at the newest closed issues and if maybe there is a relating new version in actions (urgent: Master!, not 10.8.1 nor standalone)

So I was following up on the status of my item I logged at Github:

"Overwrite Physics by Global Set" feature is not working in rev-1828, 64bit. "

I saw where toxie left this:

"toxieainc added this to the 10.8 milestone 2 weeks ago"

What does this actually mean. I check the latest beta and the issue has not yet been addressed.

Thanks.

I think that means they have it as a planned goal, but I could be wrong.

added to list of goals
mind you goals is not a promise of wip
goals can be delayed, shifted, set aside etc.

There are not that many experienced coders volunteering to help.

Hi All, using latest beta 10.8 (beta 8) some tables, have odd strange white thin lines next next to the rails (seems it's a guide) but i can't get rid of it, this is not only table but it's a hit and miss i test with 10.7 lines are not there... anyhow any clues where i could fix this would be appreciated.

It's part of the cabinet rails, these lines start at the sides of the apron and go all the way to the top, I feel like it's a known issue.

There are two walls that make up the side walls of the table. Unselect "Side visible" and the lines will disappear.

The whole point with those side walls are to show the sides, so do not make them invisible :)

The problem is that there are changes in how it is used the Alpha Mask of the images (transparency). Now many images have an alpha mask of -1, so set the alpha mask to those offending images to a high number, like 240 and the problem will be solved.

IMO these are things that shall be fixed/added before 10.8 will be released.

Hope i could ask this here, but quite often tables are downloaded in "legacy" mode, i realise we can now change to "window" settings,

but if the table loads up ok visually in "legacy" , can it just be left as that or is it better to change it to "window" mode ?

Quite often when i have re configured the dimensions for a table in "windows" mode it looks no different to its "legacy" settings.

Anyone briefly tell me what exactly legacy is , cheers.

Legacy is just the old POV system that was always around before the "camera" etc... new modes.  It's fine to use that unless you want to delve into the new modes.  I mostly use legacy, but you can experiment with the other ones too.

I find that legacy is best (read easiest) for desktop mode while the camera and windows modes are best for cab and VR view modes.

I don't even use the legacy anymore. I find the layback feature gives wierd distortion to the table when it tries to give the depth. I th8nk its j7st a personal preference

"it will all be ok in the end, if it's not ok, it's not the end"

Cheers for above replies , im using a cabinet, but what im finding with EM tables (and a few non EM) is if you switch them from Legacy to Window, the bumpers get all elongated when resizing the table in Window mode, why is this ?

If the table loads up in Legacy first off, and looks fine better to leave it from my experience
